PCOM: The recent earthquakes shaking various parts of the Philippines serve as a powerful reminder of our nation's vulnerability to natural disasters.

In light with these events and in alignment with our commitment to occupational health, safety and disaster preparedness, the Technical Working Group (TWG) of The Philippine College of Occupational Medicine (PCOM) strongly urges everyone to remain vigilant, informed and ready to respond.

Below is a quick guide to essential earthquake safety measures- please read, share and educate our workforce and families.

Sa bakuna, sigurado ang proteksyon ng ating mga chikiting laban sa mga sakit.
Markahan na ang inyong mga kalendaryo ngayong Mayo 26-27 para sa NATIONWIDE Chikiting Bakunation Days: National Vaccination Days para sa Routine at Catch-Up Immunization.

Department of Health (Philippines):

All fully vaccinated adults (18 years old and above) are now eligible to receive single-dose booster shots at least three months after the second dose of the following vaccines: AstraZeneca, Moderna, Pfizer, Sinovac, and Sputnik V.

Meanwhile, those who were inoculated with Janssen vaccine can get their booster shots at least 2 months after their first dose.

The Department of Health also reiterates that booster shots are not recommended for ages 12-17 years old.

DOH assures that all vaccines with Philippine FDA Emergency Use Authorization are proven safe and effective.
