In observance of Women’s Month, the Philippine Navy recognizes the role of women in leading its Medical Service across hospitals, dispensaries, and operational units/command.

At the strategic level, COL LEONOR M BERNABE MC(GSC), The Deputy Chief Surgeon Navy, COL GRACE MARIE V GARCIA MC(GSC), Command Surgeon of the Philippine Marine Corps, and MAJ ABEGAIL P BUCSIT MC as the Philippine Fleet Command Surgeon, supporting fleet-marine medical operations respectively.

COL PHAVEENA R AGUINALDO MC(GSC) leads the Manila Naval Hospital, while COL RACHEL C JUDILLA MC(GSC) heads the Cavite Naval Hospital. In the Naval Forces, LTC JOSEPHINE NONATO MC (NIF-NL), LTC JASMIN A ILIGAN MC (NIF-C), LTC IRIS ANNE S PARCON MC (NIF-ZAM), CPT MONICA ANNE B YAP MC (NIF-SL), and CPT JOBELLE ELLAINE M SINCIOCO MC (NIF-W), oversee and manage medical support in their respective areas of responsibilities. Complementing their efforts, MAJ EUNICE G MOTOS VC (VSU, NIF-CAV) plays a significant role in veterinary service support, contributing to the overall mission readiness of the Philippine Navy.

These female officers continue to serve with professionalism and a heart for naval medicine in support of the Philippine Navy’s mission.

LOOK | CNH STANDS READY UNDER NEW LEADERSHIP

Cavite Naval Hospital successfully conducted its first Talk to Troops following the assumption of its 34th Commanding Officer, COL RACHELLE C JUDILLA MC (GSC).

A long-standing military tradition, Talk to Troops serves as a platform for leaders to directly engage with personnel by sharing command guidance, reinforcing priorities, and strengthening trust and unity within the ranks.

In her address, COL JUDILLA MC (GSC) highlighted a leadership anchored in accountability, compassion, and shared purpose, introducing the guiding principle "C.A.R.E":

C – Compassionate Patient Care
A – Accountability and Professionalism
R – Readiness and Resilience
E – Excellence Through Teamwork

COL JUDILLA MC (GSC) likewise presided over the renewal of the Oath of Commitment of the Cavite Naval Hospital Quality Management System Team, reaffirming the members’ dedication to excellence and continuous improvement.

As CNH moves forward under her leadership, one thing remains clear, leadership is never a one-person effort. She concluded with a message of unity and commitment: “I am eager to walk this journey with each of you and achieve even greater milestones together. Our strength is not measured by the walls around us, but by the commitment of the people who serve within them.”

IN PHOTOS | WORLD TB DAY CAMPAIGN 2026

23 March 2026 – Cavite Naval Hospital, through its TB-DOTS Clinic, successfully conducted a World TB Day Campaign at the NSSF Gazebo, NSPL, Fort San Felipe, Cavite City. The activity was made possible through the support and collaboration of partner stakeholders, including the Cullion Foundation, Rotary Club of Pasay MOA, and Cavite Lodge No. 2, F. & A.M.

In line with this initiative, an HIV-AIDS Awareness Campaign was also conducted alongside the activity to promote health education and early detection among personnel.

A total of 110 personnel availed of free TB consultation and screening, while 51 individuals underwent HIV-AIDS screening.

CNH proudly takes part in the global call to End TB and protect the health of every Filipino.

23 March 2026 – Cavite Naval Hospital marks a transition in leadership, presided over by CAPT HERNANE DC LANES PN (GSC), Commander of Naval Installation and Facilities – Cavite.

LTC LELAND LOWELL A BAGNOL MC (GSC), outgoing Acting Commanding Officer,CNH expressed his gratitude for the support of NIF-Cavite and the CNH team. Under his leadership, CNH was recognized as the AFP’s Best Military Treatment Facility for CY 2025 (Hospital Category).

COL RACHELLE C JUDILLA MC (GSC), the newly designated Commanding Officer, shared that her return to CNH, where she once served as a junior medical officer, is both meaningful and inspiring, reaffirming her commitment to lead with purpose and uphold the standards. She is guided with the principle "C.A.R.E"- Compassionate patient care, Accountability and Professionalism, Readiness and Resilience, and Excellence through Teamwork.

CAPT LANES PN (GSC) emphasized that CNH has the full support of NIF-Cavite and expressed confidence that the vision of completing the new CNH building will be realized through the leadership and enthusiasm of COL JUDILLA MC (GSC).

As leadership transitions, CNH remains committed in delivering quality healthcare and dedicated service to PN community.

MAJ IKE JEREMY DIAZ MC, an Internal Medicine Specialist and Flight Surgeon, has been more than a physician, he has been a source of comfort, strength, and hope to his patients and colleagues alike. His compassion and commitment to healing have left a lasting mark on all who have had the privilege to serve alongside him.

As he embarks on his journey toward sub-specialty training in Pulmonology, we send him off with pride and heartfelt gratitude. May he continue to honor his roots while reaching greater heights in service and excellence.

LOOK | ENSURING QUALITY CARE THROUGH INSPECTION AND COLLABORATION

18 March 2026 – The Department of Health Region IV-A (CALABARZON) visited Cavite Naval Hospital to inspect the CNH Social Hygiene Clinic and HIV-AIDs Treatment Hub focusing on One Health Information System for STI/HIV/AIDS (OHASIS) data recording accuracy and commodity management. They are welcomed by the COL JANICE N BATISLA-ONG NC (GSC), Chief Nurse, CNH together with the members of the HIV-AIDS Core Team.

The assessment on Total Quality Assurance and Improvement yielded satisfactory results, with high regard for the setup of the CNH HIV Treatment Hub, strategically adjacent to the TB-DOTS and Pharmacy, as well as the systematic workflow for patient consultation.

DOH CALABARZON also extended technical assistance for the improvement of CNH HIV-AIDS Treatment Hub and delivered 100 bottles of Pre-exposure Prophylactic (PreP) medicines and 2000 sachets of lubricants in support of HIV-AIDS Core Team activities.

Inspections and engagements with accrediting agencies like DOH strengthen CNH’s commitment to delivering quality healthcare for the Philippine Navy community.

10 March 2026 – Representatives from the Department of Health Region IV-A (CALABARZON) visited Cavite Naval Hospital to inspect previously donated medical supplies and equipment under the DOH- Health Facilities Enhancement Program (HFEP).

The visit also provided an opportunity to discuss future initiatives and partnerships, further strengthening collaboration to enhance healthcare services for the Philippine Navy community.

IN PHOTOS | NATIONAL BUNTIS DAY CELEBRATION

10 March 2026 – In celebration of National Buntis Day, the Cavite Naval Hospital (CNH), through the Obstetrics and Gynecology Section, successfully conducted the 2026 Buntis Day Celebration with the theme “Traditional Roots and Innovations in Nurturing Mothers.”

The activity gathered expectant mothers from PN personnel and dependents for a meaningful morning of learning, support, and empowerment. The event highlighted the importance of safe motherhood and maternal health through informative discussions on HIV Awareness, Breastfeeding, High-Risk Pregnancy, Family Planning, Menopause, and HPV Awareness.

Participants also enjoyed interactive games, fun activities, and exciting giveaways, creating a warm and joyful atmosphere for the mothers-to-be.

Through this initiative, CNH continues its commitment to promoting the health, safety, and well-being of mothers and families in the Philippine Navy community.
