Baloy Family 💖

This family will always have a special place in my heart. They’ve marked my years of practice as one of the meaningful and successful cases I’ve cared for.

This cutest little boy didn’t just have an easy run—he bravely fought through a two-week battle of hospital stay. From admitting him on Day 1, through all the uncertainties and worries we faced together, up to seeing him on follow-up today… he’s one of those patients who remind me exactly why I do what I do.

I’m forever grateful to Mom and Dad for the trust you’ve given me in caring for your kids, especially our little champ, Jake! 🩵

A little backstory — back in residency, I always had a soft spot for Intensive Care (ICU). Even though I didn’t become an Intensivist, whenever I get a call for complicated cases, I can never bring myself to pass them on. It’s not because I crave the adrenaline or sleepless nights worrying about what could go wrong — it’s because I’ve grown to love what comes after. That moment when a child is finally stable enough to be transferred out of the ICU, or when they come back for follow-up smiling and full of life again — that’s the kind of feeling I’ll never get tired of.

Of course, not all stories end with smiles, and I’ll never get used to the heartbreaking losses. But seeing these kids grow up, knowing they overcame one of the darkest chapters in their lives — and realizing I was part of that journey — that’s the kind of quiet joy that fills my heart every single time. ❤️

Let’s Protect Our Kids! 💪👧🧒
Seasonal Influenza and Influenza-like Illnesses are on the rise!

Here are some ways to keep our little ones safe and healthy:
🩺 Limit exposure – Wear a face mask in crowded places and stay home when feeling unwell.
🥦 Eat healthy – Provide nutritious meals and take appropriate supplements.
🧼 Practice good hand hygiene – Wash hands frequently with soap and water.
💧 Stay hydrated – Encourage plenty of fluids throughout the day.
😴 Get enough rest – Ensure adequate sleep and downtime.
💉 Vaccinate! – It’s not too late to get your flu shots and boost your child’s protection.

Together, we can keep this flu season safe for everyone! 🌤️

☀️ Sunlight and the Rainy Season ☔️

The rainy season has made it a bit challenging for our newborn babies to get their daily sunlight exposure — the safe UV rays that help reduce yellowish skin (jaundice).

With proper guidance, advice, and close monitoring, we were able to safely provide these beautiful girls, Paige and Pearl, their much-needed “sunshine vitamin.” 🥰

Disclaimer: I do not promote the unsupervised use of UV lights or self-UV light exposure. It’s always best to consult your Pediatrician for proper management, especially when medical-grade phototherapy is needed for significant/exaggerated physiologic or pathologic jaundice.

For more questions and concerns, you may visit me in my clinic.

Thank you, Fajardo Twins! And thank you, Mom, Dad, and Ate Maxine, for the trust! 💕

Little Mr. Mike, just like the lovable Mike Wazowski, charms everyone with his irresistible smile and contagious laugh. With him around, we’d be collecting enough laugh power to light up the whole city of Monstropolis! 🤗

Thank you Mom and Dad for the trust.
