An anti-rabies booster shot is an additional dose of the rabies vaccine given after the initial post-exposure vaccination series. It helps strengthen and prolong your protection against the virus.

WHY GET A BOOSTER?
✔️To prevent rabies, which is 100% fatal but 100% preventable.
✔️To quickly reactivate your immunity.

WHEN IS A BOOSTER NEEDED?
For people previously vaccinated (completed the full vaccine series in the past):
• If you get bitten or scratched again, you ONLY need 2 booster doses:
• Day 0 – the day you visit the clinic
• Day 3

REMEMBER!!!
No Rabies Immunoglobulin (RIG) is needed if you were fully vaccinated before.
If you’re not fully vaccinated or unsure of your past doses, you’ll usually be advised to complete the full vaccine series.
