With the recent flooding brought by Typhoon Tino, Cebu has seen a notable increase in Leptospirosis cases. If you’ve been exposed to floodwater or contaminated water, please be vigilant.

Watch out for symptoms such as:
✔️ Fever
✔️ Headache
✔️ Muscle or body aches
✔️ Chills
✔️ Nausea or vomiting
✔️ Red eyes
✔️ Abdominal pain
✔️ Skin rashes

If you experience any of these symptoms, do not ignore or delay.
👉 Proceed immediately to the nearest Emergency Room or hospital for diagnostic testing and proper medical evaluation. Early treatment is crucial and can prevent serious complications.

If you need to go out or wade through floodwater again, always wear your mahigwagang boots 👢 and practice good hygiene afterward.

To prevent leptospirosis, those who had contact with floodwater are advised to take prophylaxis. 💊

𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝘁𝗼 𝗖𝗹𝗮𝗶𝗺 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗠𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗲𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗲
You may claim your medical certificate physically at the school clinic:

𝗨𝗿𝗴𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗡𝗲𝗲𝗱𝘀: If your medical certificate is very urgent and immediately needed, you may claim it at the Medical-Dental Clinic located on the main campus.

𝗡𝗼𝗻-𝗨𝗿𝗴𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗡𝗲𝗲𝗱𝘀: If the document is not urgently required, you are strongly encouraged to claim it once classes resume back to the face-to-face modality.

When you come to school to claim your certificate, 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗺𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗺𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗣𝗵𝘆𝘀𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗻 (𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝘃𝗶𝗮 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗼𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗙𝗮𝗰𝗲𝗯𝗼𝗼𝗸 𝗽𝗮𝗴𝗲) as proof that your medical certificate is already available at the clinic.

𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐬𝐚𝐟𝐞𝐭𝐲 𝐢𝐬 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐭𝐨𝐩 𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐲. The medical certificate is not truly urgent, we highly recommend you defer claiming it until the resumption of face-to-face classes.
