It is our duty to inform everyone.

Good day! We at Sharp Sighted Eye Clinic would like to inform the general public that it is not advised to use drops claiming that they can cure any diseases/problems in relation to your eyes. Always make sure that any kind of solution that you will instill on your eyes are FDA approved and are prescribed by a licensed professional. Always make sure that whatever you instill on your eyes, it underwent numerous trials and was tested for years to make sure that it is effective. Don't fall trap on different marketing styles various companies use. We only have two sets of eyes, we must make sure that these jewels are protected at all times.

This certain "Healing Eye Drops" were confiscated on one of our patients. Again as a reminder, don't drop anything on your eyes that are not FDA approved and have no clear label of its ingredients and company. Always make sure that the person checking your eyes is a licensed doctor. It is never a crime to ask your doctor to show you its license. It is your right as a patient. Especially with the rising population of "quack doctors".

"License is not a magical paper that actually proves a doctor is capable, but if you are gonna trust someone with your health, you hope that they have been experienced, they've practice, they've learned, and they've shown competency on the field."

Sharing will only take a second of your time. Let us all inform everyone especially those who are dear to us about the danger of using unapproved medications/drops. We must all remember that knowledge is power.

This day marks the 1st year anniversary of Sharp Sighted Eye Clinic. Just a year ago, two young doctors dreaming to provide quality eye care service for everyone decided to merge and open up this clinic. One year passed and despite the struggles we encountered along the way, especially battling pandemic just mere months after our opening, we are happy and proud to celebrate our 1st year anniversary with all our loyal patients whom their positive reviews of our clinic keeps us going. We would also like to say thank you to our family and friends who are always there and supported us along the way.

This is just the start. We at Sharp Sighted Eye Clinic will always aim to provide quality eye care to all of our patients.

Why is it important to have a bi-yearly to yearly eye check-up to your licensed optometrist even if you think your vision are perfectly fine?

This patient of mine have been my patient ever since I was a clinician at optometry school a few years ago up until now in 2020. For years, I have the patient's record of everything about her overall eye health. And for her yearly eye check-up this year, I noticed that her pupil are not equally round as what it used to be. After checking her past records and deliberating what could be the reason, we have come about the fact that the patient is experiencing Computer Vision Syndrome or Digital Eyestrain.

Digital Eye Strain describes a group of eye and vision-related problems that result from prolonged computer, tablet, e-reader and cell phone use. Many individuals experience eye discomfort and vision problems when viewing digital screens for extended periods. The level of discomfort appears to increase with the amount of digital screen use.

Viewing a computer or digital screen often makes the eyes work harder. As a result, the unique characteristics and high visual demands of computer and digital screen device viewing make many individuals susceptible to the development of vision-related symptoms.

The presence of even minor vision problems can often significantly affect comfort and performance at a computer or while using other digital screen devices. Uncorrected or under corrected vision problems can be major contributing factors to computer-related eyestrain.

Even people who have an eyeglass or contact lens prescription may find it's not suitable for the specific viewing distances of their computer screen. Some people tilt their heads at odd angles because their glasses aren't designed for looking at a computer. Or they bend toward the screen in order to see it clearly. Their postures can result in muscle spasms or pain in the neck, shoulder or back.

It is known to all of us that most of everything we do are now online. From the opening of classes via online school, managing your business through online meetings, thousands of people have started converting to work from home, even up to the most popular online shopping craze these past few months ever since the pandemic started.
