Before anything else, thank you. 💖

Thank you to everyone who believed in Gihay, shared our mission, volunteered, donated, listened, and stood with us in advocating and fighting against period poverty. Every conversation, every repost, every act of care mattered more than you know.

2025 was not an easy year. It came with many unfortunate happenings, moments that challenged our capacity, our resources, and our hearts. Yet even in these moments, we witnessed something powerful: people coming together to help those in need.

As we move into 2026, we’ve decided to take this time to pause and reflect, to learn from the year that was, to strengthen our foundations, and to ensure that when we return, we do so with intention, sustainability, and deeper care. To continue serving with sincerity and sustainability, we’ve decided to take a short hiatus to rest, reassess, and strengthen the roots of our advocacy.

This pause comes from love for the work and respect for the community we serve. Gihay was built on care, and we want to return with even more of it.

This is not an ending—just a quiet season before the next bloom.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for growing and blooming with us. 🌱

We are thrilled to announce that we are organizing a special charity event, "A Glimmer of Pink Hope," in collaboration with our incredible community partners: Sapphique, Safe Spaces Movement (SSM) Federation organizations, and The Gihay Initiative.

This important initiative is dedicated to supporting women, children, and LGBTQIA++ individuals from the Butuanon River Community in Cebu.
