Always having heartburn? It might be more than just “acid.”
GERD (Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease) is a common condition where stomach acid frequently flows back into the esophagus — causing irritation and long-term complications if left untreated.
Common symptoms:
✔️ Frequent heartburn (especially after meals or at night)
✔️ Acid regurgitation (sour/bitter taste)
✔️ Chest discomfort
✔️ Difficulty swallowing
✔️ Chronic cough or sore throat
While many patients improve with lifestyle changes and medications, some may require further evaluation — especially if symptoms are persistent, severe, or not responding to treatment.
In selected cases, minimally invasive (laparoscopic) anti-reflux surgery can provide long-term relief.
Don’t ignore recurring symptoms. Early consultation can help prevent complications.
