Sun, Skills, and Soulful Goodbyes 🌻

​Last week of March was a beautiful whirlwind! ✨️
We launched our Safe Summer OOTD to keep everyone cool, hosted a closing program, the Lorega Fair for our PWDs, and celebrated the incredible journey of our 4th Rotation Interns.
​From Bingo wins to DIY candles, we’ve seen what happens when health, social connection, and livelihood come together. 🌈

To our 4th rotation interns: you’ve shown that Occupational Therapy is about more than just exercises—it's about play, purpose, and people. As we "Beat the Heat" and move forward, we carry these memories with us. Thank you, Lorega! 💚

Lighting the Spark of Creativity! 🕯️✨️

​A huge thank you to our Maria Josefa Recio Therapeutic Center family for joining our CBR program last Thursday, March 26!

​Our participants had an incredible time at the Livelihood booth learning the art of DIY candle making. Your patience and expertise didn’t just teach them a new craft, but helped ignite a sense of confidence and potential in everyone who participated.

​We are so grateful for your partnership and for sharing your light with us! 🫶

From Local Traditional Play to Global Impact 🇵🇭🌍

​What a week of milestones! 🙌🤸
From the cheers of Larong Pinoy at the Daycare to a workspace visit from the World Federation of Occupational Therapists, Lorega’s heart for service was on full display last, Tuesday, March 17.
​We also wrapped up our March "Crafted for Community" sales with full hearts at 8 Banawa Centrale last, Saturday, March 21, reminding us once again that small, intentional actions like choosing a bead or playing a game of Tumba Lata create a lasting ripple effect in and for the community. 💚

WE ARE BACK AT THE PLAY NOOK! ✨

We are so excited to return to our favorite indoor playground with a fresh batch of Crafted for Community products!

But this isn’t just a pop-up, it’s a mission!

Most of our proceeds will be used to fund the Lorega Fair, an initiative dedicated to providing our Adult PWD participants.

Visit us at The Playnook this week to see our new products and help us empower the Lorega community, one craft at a time! 💖

Thank you for supporting us The Play Nook 🫶🏻 We have new charms, beads, chains and bag tags which children will love to create their own designs. This will surely spark joy and hone their creativity while helping the community.

Proceeds will be used to fund our upcoming program at the barangay for all adult PWDs we are serving.

Our friends from the Velez College OT Department are back at The Play Nook for another meaningful event — Crafted for Community! 🎨✨

We’re always grateful to welcome partners who share the same heart for inclusion, play, and community. The Play Nook is a space where all kids can explore, learn, and belong, and events like this remind us how powerful it is when people come together for that mission.

Thank you to the Velez OT community for choosing to hold your fundraising event with us once again. Your dedication to supporting children and families through occupational therapy truly inspires us. 💛

🚴 Search for Mr. & Ms. Bikers Champ for Road Safety! 🏆

Isip kabahin sa Healthy March, nangita mi ug mga bikers sa komunidad ug gi-challenge sila sa usa ka Biking Safety Game. Ang mga participants nagpili kung unsa ang safe ug dili safe nga biking practices, sama sa pagsul-ob ug helmet, paggamit sa bike lane, ug pagsunod sa road signs.

Pinaagi niini nga kalihokan, among gipaila ang among Mr. & Ms. Bikers Champ for Road Safety, nga nagpakita sa maayong ehemplo sa safe ug responsible nga pagbike sa komunidad.

Safe biking starts with responsible riders. Always follow road safety rules. 🚴‍♂️

📂 Weekly Update: March 2-6

It had been a week of action at Barangay Lorega! We kicked off our March treatment sessions, distributed handouts to inform of the start of our weekly Thursday Zumba, and took our Crafted for Community shop on the road to USC - Talamban Campus, again with special thanks to the School of Health Care and Professions Council.

We are so grateful for the school spirit and support we received! Onward to another week of service and heart. ❤️💪
