Extra! Extra! Read all about it in The Weekly Loregazette! ๐Ÿ“ฐโœจ This week, we celebrated our community members for completing the 7-Day Healthy Bingo Challenge, turning small wins like daily movement and hydration into lasting habits. It is inspiring to see participants take charge of their health, and we hope these positive routines continue long after the challenge.

As the third-rotation interns prepare to pass the torch, they are conducting a full inventory and organizing the "Crafted for Community" fundraising items. By streamlining these resources, they are ensuring a seamless transition for the next set of Velez OT interns to hit the ground running in Barangay Lorega. They leave with full hearts and high hopes for the community! ๐ŸŽ’๐Ÿ’™

From our Decemberโ€“January interns sprucing up and reorganizing the center, to launching CBR programs for adults and children, and taking health promotion to the streets of Barangay Lorega-San Miguel, 2026 is shaping up to be a year full of learning, wellness, and community impact.

From malls and schools to clinics, play spaces, and community events, our fundraising journey was made possible through the generosity of spaces that opened their doors and their hearts to our cause.

We extend our sincere gratitude to IL Corso Filinvest Malls, Velez OT Department, The Play Nook, Velez College, ATUA Midtown, NU School of Cebu, and Operation Smile Philippines โ€“ Cebu Chapter for being part of this collective effort.

Through our fundraising activities, we were able to support Community-Based Health and Rehabilitation (CBHR) programs in Barangay Lorega-San Miguel. The funds raised helped make possible our activities and programs for daycare children, PWDs, and helped connect families and friends.

As Occupational Therapy interns, this initiative allowed us to go beyond treatment by advocating, educating, and creating meaningful learning experiences for children and families in the community. From watching movies, storytelling and singing to dancing, crafts and projects, and gift-giving, each activity was made possible through shared effort and community support.

๐Ÿ’š Thank you for being part of this journey. Your support turned small actions into meaningful impact.
