We would like to congratulate our second-year resident, Dr. Thea Pepito, on the successful delivery of her first Grand Rounds held last January 14, 2026.

The session was a highly informative and worthwhile discussion on the management of coronary artery disease in patients with end-stage kidney disease and the role of coronary calcium score and revascularization strategy, providing valuable insights that will greatly benefit our residents in the care of their future patients.

Congratulations to our third-year Intensive Care Unit resident, Dr. Pedrolito Mar, for successfully presenting his Case Management Conference entitled “A Small Collection, A Big Problem,” which highlighted a rare but significant complication following routine cholecystectomy.

The discussion provided valuable insights into diagnostic challenges and management strategies, further enriching our residents’ clinical acumen and reinforcing the importance of vigilance even after commonly performed procedures.

This initiative reflects our department’s ongoing commitment to maintaining a high standard of medical education and to continually advancing our residents’ knowledge and clinical competence.
