First Schedule of Bi-Monthly Psychiatric Consultation
with Concurrent Psychological First Aid for Bereaved Families in the Municipality of Liloan

The Philippine Mental Health Association – Cebu Chapter, in partnership with the Local Government of Liloan and its Rural Health Unit, will hold the first schedule of the Bi-Monthly Psychiatric Consultation in the municipality.

Alongside this, Psychological First Aid (PFA) sessions will also be offered to families who have lost their loved ones during the recent typhoon and flashflood.

We recognize that grief takes time; and that it’s perfectly okay not to be okay. Healing does not have to be rushed, and strength does not have to be regained right away. Through this initiative, PMHA Cebu Chapter hopes to provide a safe space where those in mourning can be heard, supported, and gently reminded that they are not alone in their journey.

𝐀ғᴛᴇʀᴍᴀᴛʜ ɪɴ 𝐑ᴜɴᴀ 𝐂ᴏᴍᴘᴏᴜɴᴅ (𝐒ᴜʟɪᴍᴀ, 𝐂ᴏᴛᴄᴏᴛ)

Our home. 😔 Our childhood memories.☹️

Had hard time passing through on November 4.
Only today (November 5) that my cousin, Michael, was able to visit our homes and affected areas nearby.

Even my first pay as a doctor, I bought flat screen TV for our house - was not spared. Sakit pero I can always earn that again.

We may have lost lots of material things but lives are irreplaceable.

Truly heartbreaking. I cannot imagine how our 69 year old Daddy pushed through the flash floods. Thank you Lord for giving him enough strength. And to Tito Eping for never leaving our Tita Rose.

PS: The one with red roof is our 🏠. Nothing is worth stealing there coz we don’t have alahas, no stash of money. Not even a car or a motorcycle. Just a home filled with good memories…and drowned speakers, karaoke stuffs, wet sofas, carpet, broken bikes, heirloom furnitures from Runa Housing Supply and more whose value is only ours to appreciate.

PPS: We need your help. In any way you can extend, please let us know. My cousin Michael and I are working hand in hand since he has a pickup (thank God it was brought to city). Our plates may be full but we are so damn willing to help. In a few days time, we pray that our house may be able to shelter our relatives who have lost more.😔

Situation in Cotcot Nov 4 (Tuesday) 12:51 PM

Tried to go home in Sulima, Cotcot to get our Dad since we knew they were affected but to no avail. We can’t pass after Colorado Homes. Family was very worried since we have no news about his whereabouts/safety. Last chat was at 6:17am. He only described the storm as “Worse than Odette.”

Not until 4:51 PM our Kuya informed us naabot si Daddy sa condo all on his own. Kung gi unsa man niya pag-abot, we don’t know but kung kinsa man gali nagpa sakay sa ako Dad, thank you kaayo despite nagkalapok siya until waist. Sakit sa heart tan-awon, but his safety was all we prayed for especially now na coming iya 70th birthday.

Was not able to post yesterday due to intermittent signals in Consolacion and up until we knew he was safe, there’s nothing to post about.

We had to help within the family. Our family chat was very busy updating and asking everyone. Calling here and there bisan way signal. Florida family also have to stop working yesterday due to anxiety.

Went there last Saturday just to casually inform daddy, titas and tito about the coming typhoon. Handed money for my dad to prepare. Even told Kuya via messenger to make sure his Guinea Pigs will be okay.

Never in 33 years this happened that our compound in Liloan was in deep waters. Well, I had many dreams in the past that our house will be flooded but it was only knee-deep. Expected tsunami but never flash floods. But thank you Lord, despite what happened safe si Daddy, Tita Rose, Tito Eping, Tito Rowel, Tito Gigi and Tito Benson and family.

Please pray for my relatives and family who was deeply affected in this typhoon and for lives that were lost.

Kayod sa ta today para makapalit og things needed for restoration. So if you owe me, please pay.

Loved how organized and (almost) calm the people are when buying and lining up for the cashier. It’s like Christmas rush but this time we’re preparing for the typhoon.
