A group of strong willed medical students, together with a vision, brought into existence Alpha Mu Sigma Phi fraternity and Sigma Alpha Mu Sigma sorority. Although two separate entities, they were bound together with the same idealism. They worked hand in hand, humbly leading and performing effectively for the organization and for others. In 1972, Martial Law was declared. All organizations includ
ing fraternities and sororities were dissolved. With a heavy heart, Alpha Mu Sigma Phi and Sigma Alpha Mu Sigma temporarily disbanded. Thus in 1991, out from the darkness, came the rebirth of the two most prided organizations in CIM. But this time, Alpha Mu Sigma Phi and Sigma Alpha Mu Sigma merged into an even greater society - Alpha Mu Sigma Phi Organization. Through the years, Alpha Mu Sigma Phi has always been true to its mission statement. Encouraging academic excellence among its student members and involving the spirit of service among its noble physicians, the Alpha Mu Sigma Phi has made its mark within the medical community. And yet, in another light it has never forgotten to foster friendship and camaraderie among its members and other organizations. Sixty three years have passed and still the Alpha Mu still stands tall, boasting of members composed of remarkable medical students and physicians. It has withstood the onslaught of time and circumstance and will continue to pass its legacy...
