Official Public Page of Cebu Institute of Medicine - Alpha Mu Sigma Phi. In 1959, a dream was realized... a strong foundation laid.

A group of strong willed medical students, together with a vision, brought into existence Alpha Mu Sigma Phi fraternity and Sigma Alpha Mu Sigma sorority. Although two separate entities, they were bound together with the same idealism. They worked hand in hand, humbly leading and performing effectively for the organization and for others. In 1972, Martial Law was declared. All organizations including fraternities and sororities were dissolved. With a heavy heart, Alpha Mu Sigma Phi and Sigma Alpha Mu Sigma temporarily disbanded. Thus in 1991, out from the darkness, came the rebirth of the two most prided organizations in CIM. But this time, Alpha Mu Sigma Phi and Sigma Alpha Mu Sigma merged into an even greater society - Alpha Mu Sigma Phi Organization. Through the years, Alpha Mu Sigma Phi has always been true to its mission statement. Encouraging academic excellence among its student members and involving the spirit of service among its noble physicians, the Alpha Mu Sigma Phi has made its mark within the medical community. And yet, in another light it has never forgotten to foster friendship and camaraderie among its members and other organizations. Sixty three years have passed and still the Alpha Mu still stands tall, boasting of members composed of remarkable medical students and physicians. It has withstood the onslaught of time and circumstance and will continue to pass its legacy...

Alpha Mu Sigma Phi is a brotherhood bound by loyalty and driven by shared ideals, where each member contributes to 𝐬𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐦𝐬𝐞𝐥𝐟. In moments of struggle, we rise as one, supporting and strengthening one another as we move forward together.

Now, we open our doors and welcome the next generation of members into our brotherhood.

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗖𝗵𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗺𝗮𝘀 𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀 𝗯𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗶𝗻 𝗮𝗰𝘁𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲 🎄🩺

In the true spirit of giving, Alpha Mu Sigma Phi shared the gift of health and hope with the Victims of Typhoon Tino. Through collaborative service and volunteerism, free medical consultations were provided to 𝟭𝟭𝟳 𝗽𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀, along with the distribution of 𝟲𝟰 𝗵𝘆𝗴𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗲 𝗸𝗶𝘁𝘀 at the 𝗟𝗶𝗹𝗼𝗮𝗻 𝗘𝘃𝗮𝗰𝘂𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗖𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿, 𝗧𝗶𝗹𝘁𝗶𝗹𝗼𝗻 𝗘𝗹𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹 last December 20, 2025. 🎁✨

This initiative was made possible through the generous partnership of the following organizations:

In partnership with 𝗗𝗮𝘆𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗚𝗶𝗿𝗹𝘀 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹, Alpha Mu Sigma Phi successfully conducted its annual Women’s Health Initiative, 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗮, on December 12, 2025, in collaboration with 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘂𝗲 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗖𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹.✨

The initiative empowered 𝟭𝟬𝟬 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗴 𝗴𝗶𝗿𝗹𝘀 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗚𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗲 𝟰 𝘁𝗼 𝟲 through meaningful, respectful, and age-appropriate discussions on Women’s Reproductive Health and Menstrual Support.📚👧🏼

Through Project Maria, Alpha Mu Sigma Phi reaffirms its commitment to equipping young women with knowledge, confidence, and self-awareness. Participating students also received reusable menstrual hygiene kits from Days for Girls International, promoting sustainable menstrual health and dignity.

𝗭 𝗠𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗟𝗲𝗴𝗮𝗰𝘆: 𝗕𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝗮𝗳𝗲𝗿 𝗥𝗼𝗮𝗱𝘀 𝗙𝗼𝗿 𝗔𝗹𝗹 🛣️

In line with our celebration of Alpha Mu Sigma Phi’s 66th Anniversary, we commemorate our dear Alphan Sister Dr. Zuriele Arambulo† through The Z Movement. In collaboration with the 𝗖𝗲𝗯𝘂 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲, her legacy lives on through a shared commitment to road safety and pedestrian protection, marked by the installation of a 𝗽𝗲𝗱𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗲 at the 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗔𝗿𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘁𝗼𝗻 𝗣𝗼𝗻𝗱 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗙. 𝗥𝗮𝗺𝗼𝘀 𝗦𝘁. last November 17, 2025.

The Z Movement was born from the tragic hit-and-run accident that claimed Dr. Zuriele Arambulo’s life in February 2019, a loss that underscored the urgent need for safer streets and stronger advocacy for pedestrian safety. A Doctor to the Barrio, her life of service continues to inspire us to transform remembrance into meaningful action.

Keep an eye out as another improvement along F. Ramos St. is underway, strengthening our resolve to serve with purpose and care.
