How ACES EYE began

The ACES EYE Center started in 1996 when four leading Cebuano eye doctors agreed to practice ophthalmology together as partners. They wanted to provide cutting edge and premium quality ophthalmologic services to the community in an accessible and responsive manner through the establishment of modern and complete eye centers. Their combined strengths would propel eye care in Cebu into the modern world.

By offering all patients immediate access to a second and more opinions in one visit, combined with complete diagnostic and therapeutic equipment under one roof, the ACES EYE Center set new standards for comfort, convenience and safety.

Today The Associated Cebu Eye Specialists, better known by the acronym ACES, has become synonymous with world class excellence in eye care not only in Cebu but in the country. From the original clinic in VELEZ Hospital, ACES now has 5 clinics spread throughout the Visayas and Mindanao.

Aside from serving the community directly through its clinical services, the center provides an ideal environment for the teaching and training of fellows, residents, and nurses and for the transfer of skills to all interested practitioners.
