Taste is a skill and like all skills, it develops with exposure and practice.

Between 6–12 months, babies are building their flavor library. That’s why:

👉 Early exposure builds acceptance
👉 Repetition is key (8–10 tries is normal!)
👉 Taste is a full sensory learning experience
👉 Simple, single-ingredient foods help babies recognize real flavors

If your baby makes a funny face at broccoli, that doesn’t mean they hate it. It means their brain is processing something new.

Keep offering. Keep modeling. Keep it positive.

At Dynamic Pediatric Therapy, we support families with feeding development, sensory challenges, and picky eating because confident eaters are built, not born.

Feeding therapy is about so much more than “just eating.”

When a child struggles at mealtimes, the root cause may involve posture, sensory processing, oral motor strength, or even recognizing hunger and fullness cues.

In feeding therapy, we work on:

👉 Postural stability for safe, supported sitting
👉 Oral motor strength for chewing and swallowing
👉 Sensory regulation to tolerate different textures and smells
👉 Food flexibility to reduce rigidity
👉 Interoception to recognize hunger and fullness
👉 Self-feeding skills to build independence

Every skill builds toward one goal: helping children develop a healthy, confident relationship with food.

At Dynamic Pediatric Therapy, our feeding program supports children with picky eating, sensory sensitivities, oral motor challenges, and mealtime stress using structured, compassionate, and evidence-based approaches.

If mealtimes feel overwhelming, support is available.

Parenting plans shape more than schedules. They shape a child’s sense of safety. When decisions are guided by a child’s emotional and developmental needs, children feel more secure, understood, and supported.

A child-centered approach focuses on:
👉 Consistency and predictability
👉 Teaching skills instead of using fear
👉 Age-appropriate communication
👉 Planned, supported transitions
👉 Emotional stability across environments

When adult convenience or fairness becomes the priority, children may struggle with confusion, insecurity, or behavioral challenges.

Children thrive when their needs come first.

At Dynamic Pediatric Therapy, we support families in building child-centered parenting strategies that strengthen emotional security, communication, and healthy development.

If you need guidance navigating parenting decisions, routines, or transitions, we’re here to help.

Behavior is communication even when it looks challenging.
Every behavior has a purpose. When we pause and ask “what is my child trying to tell me?” instead of “how do I stop this?”, everything starts to shift.

When we understand the why, we can respond with empathy, structure, and support not punishment or frustration.
Understanding behavior isn’t about labeling a child.

It’s about supporting their needs, building skills, and creating environments where they can succeed.

More insight, more compassion, better outcomes for children and families alike.
