As the 2023–2025 term comes to a close, we extend our deepest gratitude to our National President of the Integrated Midwives Association of the Philippines (IMAP) Mam Dionica L. Saquilon (Dayen).

Over the past three years, your leadership has been a beacon of progress for the midwifery profession. From championing maternal health rights to strengthening the professional development of midwives across the archipelago, your tenure has been defined by integrity, resilience, and vision.

Thank you for being the voice of the Filipino midwife and for ensuring that "Caring for Lives" remains at the heart of our mission. Your legacy will continue to inspire the next generation of healthcare heroes.

Our hearts are with you in the wake of this devastating typhoon and the floods that have followed.

While so many are reeling, we know that you are facing a dual burden: You are victims yourselves, worrying about your own homes, your own families, and your own safety. Yet, at the exact same moment, you are being called upon to be healers, protectors, and pillars of strength.

Please, as you care for everyone else, remember yourselves. Your community needs you, which means your own well-being—your safety, your rest, your mental health—matters profoundly.

May you find strength in each other. May the help and resources you need arrive swiftly. And may you feel the immense gratitude of every person who understands the critical, courageous work you are doing.

12/11/2025

As we witness the devastating aftermath of the recent floods in Mandaue City, Liloan, Compostela, and Danao City. Our thoughts are with everyone who has been affected by this calamity.

We are particularly thinking of you, our dedicated community midwives. We know that in times of crisis, your work does not stop. In fact, it becomes even more critical. You are the frontliners ensuring the safety of mothers and newborns, often working in the most challenging conditions with limited resources, all while managing the impact of the disaster on your own homes and families. Your courage and unwavering commitment to your communities are truly admirable.

Together with our IMAP President ma’am Dayen Saquilon and newly elected IMAP NATIONAL board of trustees Ms. Mary Claire Oliver of IMAP Cebu Chapter we are distributing to some midwives relief goods, small help can make a big impact.
