PROPER WAY OF USING EYE DROPS

Planning to use eye drops to relieve dry eyes? Here’s the correct way of applying the eye drops:
👁️ Wash your hands before handling your eye drops or touching your eyes.
👁️ Tilt your head back slightly and look up.
👁️ Use one hand to pull your lower eyelid down.
👁️ Hold the dropper tip directly over the eyelid pocket.
👁️ Squeeze the bottle gently and let the eye drop fall into the pocket.
👁️ Close your eyes and do not blink.

If your dry eyes persists, consult an ophthalmologist

WHAT CAUSES CATARACTS?

Aging is the most common cause of cataracts. People over age 60 usually start to develop some clouding of their lenses. Other reasons why a person develops cataracts include family history; having diabetes; suffering an eye injury, undergoing eye surgery, and receiving radiation treatments on the upper body; prolonged sun exposure without sunglasses; and corticosteroid use.

TIPS TO RELIEVE DIGITAL-RELATED EYE STRAIN

Looking at a computer, smartphone or other digital screens for long periods of time may result in digital-related eye strain. Blink as often as possible to moisten the surface of your eyes and prevent them from drying out. Take a break every 20 minutes. Adjust screen brightness to match ambient light. Use artificial tears.
