Local Government Unit of Concepcion participates in the Leadership and Governance in To***co Control (LGTC) Executive Course, followed by the MOU signing that established this partnership!

This program is the result of a partnership between the Iloilo Provincial Health Office, the Ateneo School of Government (ASOG), and Transcend, Inc., and is designed to empower local officials to champion and implement smoke-free and vape-free initiatives and evidence-based to***co control policies in our community.

We are proud of our officials for taking this crucial step to create a healthier environment for everyone in Concepcion. This commitment shows our shared vision for a healthier and safer future for our community.

Congratulations to the Local Government Unit of Concepcion for securing 3rd Place in the LGUs with Good Practices in Rabies Program Implementation! This prestigious award is a testament to the relentless efforts of our dedicated teams.

We especially recognize the incredible work of our Municipal Health Office (MHO) and the Municipal Agriculture Office (MAO). This achievement is a result of their tireless collaboration, from conducting widespread vaccination drives to providing essential public health services and community education.

A Day of Learning and Empowerment through Community-based Rehabilitation Program

Today, we had the incredible opportunity to host a Community-Based Rehabilitation activity focused on empowering our community members. We were joined by Barangay Health Workers (BHWs), patients, and caregivers for a day of learning and practical demonstrations.

The program included a crucial lecture on stroke, followed by demonstrations on basic exercises and assistive devices. We also covered essential information on wheelchair care and maintenance. This activity, organized in coordination with the Western Visayas Medical Center - Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, aimed to provide valuable knowledge and skills to support Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) and their families.

A huge thank you to everyone who attended and participated, making this event a success. Your commitment to health and wellness in our community is truly inspiring!
