STATEMENT OF STRONG CONDEMNATION

This Office expresses profound grief and condemns, in the strongest terms, the tragic ambush that occurred in Shariff Aguak on March 28, 2026, which resulted in the death of five (5) police officers and the injury of three (3) others in the lawful performance of their duties.

The killing and injury of law enforcement personnel constitute a grave violation of the rule of law and an affront to public order, public safety, and the fundamental principles of justice and humanity. Such acts are unjustifiable under any circumstance and must be unequivocally denounced.

We extend our deepest sympathies and heartfelt condolences to the families, loved ones, and colleagues of the fallen officers. We stand in steadfast solidarity with those who continue to serve, despite the inherent risks, in safeguarding peace and security in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao.

We call on the Bangsamoro people to remain calm, vigilant, and cooperative with authorities. This Office reaffirms its unwavering commitment to uphold the rule of law, protect the sanctity of life, and advance lasting peace and security in our communities.

Flood-Hit Families in BARMM SGA Receive Housing Materials from Parliament Member

COTABATO CITY, Philippines — A total of 40 low-income families in flood-affected communities in Cotabato province have received construction materials from the office of Bangsamoro parliament member Kadil Sinolinding Jr.

The beneficiaries come from the municipalities of Malidegao and Ligawasan in the Bangsamoro Special Geographic Area (SGA). They received cement, galvanized iron roofing sheets, plywood, and other housing materials to repair homes damaged by months of flooding.

Malidegao and Ligawasan are among the eight newly established municipalities under the SGA, a cluster of areas under the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao. But these areas are geographically located in Cotabato province in Region 12.

Local officials, including Malidegao Mayor Arnal Timan, along with Moro community leaders in Ligawasan, confirmed that residents received the assistance during a series of community engagements conducted on March 25–26 by Sinolinding’s public service mission team.

Sinolinding’s office, in coordination with Bangsamoro Chief Minister Abdulrauf Macacua, leads efforts to help rebuild homes damaged by flooding.

The two towns are situated near the 220,000-hectare Ligawasan Delta, a vast marshland that serves as a catch basin for floodwaters from major river systems. (Daily Sun Chronicle, March 27, 2026)

Namigay ng semento, galvanized roof sheets, o pang-atip na yero, plywood at iba pang mga materyales ang tanggapan ni Bangsamoro Parliament Member Kadil Sinolinding, Jr. sa 40 na pamilyang mahirap sa Malidegao at Ligawasan sa Special Geographic Area sa probinsya ng Cotabato na nasira ang mga barong-barong sanhi ng baha nitong nakalipas na ilang buwan.

Ang Malidegao at Ligawasan ay kabilang sa walong mga bagong tatag na municipalities sa Bangsamoro Special Geographic Area, o Bangsamoro SGA, na sakop ng Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao, ngunit nasa probinsya ng Cotabato na nasa teritoryo ng Administrative Region 12.

Mismong mga barangay officials at si Malidegao Mayor Arnal Timan at ang mga Moro community leaders sa Ligawasan ang nag-kumpirma ng pagtanggap ng mga construction materials ng ilang mga residente ng kani-kanilang mga bayan kaugnay ng March 25-26, 2026 community engagements ng public service mission team ng tanggapan ni Sinolinding.

Magkatuwang ang tanggapan ni physician-ophthalmologist Sinolinding, na siya ring namamahala ng Ministry of Health-BARMM, at si Bangsamoro Chief Minister Abdulrauf Macacua sa pagpapaayos ng mga tirahan ng mga 40 na mga pamilya sa Malidegao at Ligawasan na ilang beses na nahagip ng rumaragasang tubig baha nitong nakalipas na mga buwan.

Ang naturang dalawang bayan ay malapit sa 220,000-hectare na Ligawasan Delta, isang malawak na marshland na catch basin ng tubig baha mula sa malalaking mga ilog sa mga kabundukan sa mga probinsya ng Bukidnon, Cotabato, Maguindanao del Norte, Maguindanao del Sur at Sultan Kudarat.

Mismong ang public service team ng tanggapan ni Sinolinding sa 80-seat BARMM parliament sa Cotabato City at ang kanilang field mission group, naglilibot sa Bangsamoro SGA, ang naghatid ng mga construction materials sa mga pamilyang benepisyaryo ng naturang humanitarian mission.

Bangsamoro M***i, Sheikh Abdulrauf Guialani, announced that the crescent moon was not visible during the moon sighting led by the Bangsamoro Darul-Ifta’ (BDI). Consequently, Muslims in the Philippines will fast for one more day to complete the 30 days of Ramadhan and will celebrate Eid’l Fit’r on March 21, 2026.

May Allah SWT accept all our ibadah (worship) during this holy month. Taqabbalallahu minna wa minkum. The Bangsamoro Government extends an advanced Eid Mubarak to the entire Muslim Ummah. May the spirit of Ramadhan remind us to carry kindness, gratitude, and generosity throughout the year.
