GAD CORDER | In celebration of the Traditional and Alternative Health (Integrative Medicine) Program this November, the R1MC – Department of Family & Community Medicine successfully conducted a comprehensive community engagement initiative spanning two key areas: Brgy. Gumot, San Fabian, Pangasinan and the R1MC Family & Community Medicine Clinic Out-Patient Department.

The initiative, which included the active participation of Barangay Officials and BHWs in Brgy. Gumot, featured:

· An informative lecture on the uses and benefits of DOH-approved herbal medicines.

· A hands-on herbal gardening session to encourage sustainable health practices at home.

We are delighted to share moments from our recent community engagement initiative. It was an honor to exchange valuable knowledge and practical skills with the dedicated residents. 🌱

A momentous convocation of Family and Community Medicine residents marked the 𝐅𝐢𝐫𝐬𝐭 𝐏𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐩𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐀𝐜𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐦𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐅𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐲 𝐏𝐡𝐲𝐬𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐬 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐎𝐫𝐠𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐳𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐍𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐡 𝐋𝐮𝐳𝐨𝐧 𝐑𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐥𝐲, held last November 23, 2025 at The Monarch Hotel, Calasiao, Pangasinan.

Truly a milestone in strengthening the collective voice and vision of every Family Medicine resident nationwide!

The 𝐏𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐩𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐀𝐜𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐦𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐅𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐲 𝐏𝐡𝐲𝐬𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐬 𝐏𝐀𝐅𝐏 𝐍𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐡 𝐋𝐮𝐳𝐨𝐧 𝐑𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐥𝐲 was a resounding success! Family and Community Medicine specialists and residents united on November 23, 2025, at The Monarch Hotel in Calasiao, Pangasinan, to foster collaboration and growth.

We extend our heartfelt congratulations to Dr. Kristel Mariz V. Ocampo for being recognized as a Finalist in the Interdepartmental Prospective Research Competition held at the R1MC Odeum on October 30, 2025 (1:30–5:00 PM).
