After the successful ex*****on of the โ€œDuck, Cover, and Holdโ€ procedure and evacuation during the earthquake simulation, students, faculty, and staff proceeded with the fire emergency drill. The activity emphasized proper alarm response, orderly evacuation, and adherence to designated exit routes and safe assembly areas.

The back-to-back drills provided participants with practical experience in responding to different emergency scenarios, highlighting the importance of presence of mind, coordination, and discipline.

Through these initiatives, the School Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (SDRRM) team continues to promote awareness, readiness, and resilience within the school community โ€” ensuring that safety remains a top priority at all times.

Following the successful Fire Safety Seminar,
as Part II of the dayโ€™s safety activities led by the School Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (SDRRM) team, the drill began with the proper ex*****on of the โ€œDuck, Cover, and Holdโ€ procedure inside classrooms and offices, followed by a systematic and orderly evacuation to the designated assembly areas. To further enhance the activity, selected SDRRM officers and chairpersons performed a rescue scenario demonstrating the proper response and assistance for injured individuals during an emergency.

Students, personnels, and non-teaching personnels demonstrated discipline, coordination, and awareness throughout the activity, reflecting the importance of preparedness and presence of mind during unexpected situations.

The School Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (SDRRM) facilitated a Fire Safety Seminar at the AVR of Sto. Tomas College, Danao City, Inc.

The activity was led by esteemed guest speakers from the Bureau of Fire Protection, FO1 Aldritch R. Amabao and FO2 Christian Vin L. Balio, who shared essential knowledge on fire prevention, emergency preparedness, and proper response during fire incidents.The seminar aimed to strengthen awareness and promote a culture of safety and preparedness among students and school personnel.

On the third and final day of School Camping 2026, the 7Manteam remained on duty to ensure the safety and well-being of all participants. The team conducted continuous monitoring during the morning Physical Fitness, Scoutsโ€™ Own and Mass, and Team Games and Challenges, providing medical standby and immediate assistance when needed.

They also supervised the Camp Area Restoration to ensure proper safety measures were observed until the Awarding and Closing Ceremony concluded. The 7Manteamโ€™s presence throughout the day highlighted their commitment to maintaining a safe, organized, and incident-free camp.

Station 1 featured a First Aid Demonstration facilitated by the 7Manteam together with SDRRMO Coordinator Mr. Brigido Granada. Scouts actively engaged in hands-on training where they learned proper emergency response procedures and basic life-saving skills.
With the guidance and assistance of the officers and chairperson, each participant was carefully supervised to ensure correct techniques and understanding. This activity further strengthened the campersโ€™ preparedness, teamwork, and readiness to respond in times of emergency.

SDRRM assisted the School's Girl Scouts of the Philippines (GSP) during the successful opening of School Camping 2026 at Sto. Tomas College, Danao City. The first day focused on ensuring safety preparedness, coordination, and guidance for all participants as they begin their camping journey.

Through teamwork and preparedness, SDRRM continues its commitment to support youth activities while promoting disaster awareness, safety, and responsible leadership.

According to the monitoring of DOST-PAGASA, Danao City is under the Signal No. 1 and all are advised to monitor updates, stay alert and be prepared.
