📌Sharing the Statement of Support for the DOH "Ligtas Tigdas" Campaign from the Philippine Pediatric Society- Pediatric Infectious Disease Society of the Philippines

Dr. Jose Rizal Memorial Hospital continues to serve as fixed-post vaccination site, during the Measles-Rubella Supplemental Immunization Activity (MR-SIA) every weekday (Monday to Friday) until February 13, 2026, at the DJRMH Adolescent Center, Ground Floor.

Vaccination services will be available from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM, with possible extension until 5:00 PM at the same venue, or up to 7:00 PM at the BUCAS Center if there is a pool of vaccinees. For those who wish to be vaccinated at DJRMH, kindly contact Michelle Fe Santos, DJRMH HEPO, at 0912-710-7888.

Dr. Jose Rizal Memorial Hospital continues to serve as fixed-post vaccination site, during the Measles-Rubella Supplemental Immunization Activity (MR-SIA) every weekday (Monday to Friday) until February 13, 2026, at the DJRMH Adolescent Center, Ground Floor.

Vaccination services will be available from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM, with possible extension until 5:00 PM at the same venue, or up to 7:00 PM at the BUCAS Center if there is a pool of vaccinees. These extended schedules aim to accommodate children of working parents.

We strongly encourage all parents and guardians to bring their children to the nearest health facility and participate in this important public health program. For those who wish to be vaccinated at DJRMH, kindly contact Michelle Fe Santos, DJRMH HEPO, at 0912-710-7888.

Throughout the campaign period, children aged 6 months to 59 months will be given the Measles-Rubella vaccine and Vitamin A supplementation to protect them against measles and rubella, while also helping boost immunity and promote overall health.

January 27, 2026 | Dr. Jose Rizal Memorial Hospital has entered into a partnership with the Philippine Coconut Authority (PCA) for the implementation of the Health and Medical Program for eligible Coconut Farmers and Industry Development Plan (CFIDP) members and their dependents through Hospitalization and Medical Care Assistance.

The Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) was formally signed today by Ms. Bihildis A. Quezon, Regional Manager III, representing the PCA, together with Dr. Maria Dinna C. Viray-Pariñas, Medical Center Chief II of DJRMH, in the presence of members of the DJRMH Management Committee and PCA staff.

Other government and private institutions in the province have also partnered with PCA. These are significant steps to ensure that CFIDP-eligible coconut farmers and their dependents receive accessible and quality medical services in line with Republic Act No. 11524, or the Coconut Farmers and Industry Trust Fund Act, and Republic Act No. 11223, or the Universal Health Care Act.

Dr. Jose Rizal Memorial Hospital joins the nation in observing Goiter Awareness Week 2026. This is an annual campaign aimed at increasing public awareness on Iodine Deficiency Disorders (IDD) and promoting proper nutrition for optimal thyroid health.

Goiter is a preventable condition, primarily caused by inadequate iodine intake, yet it remains a public health concern affecting individuals across all ages. Left unaddressed, iodine deficiency can impair growth, development, and overall well-being. Thus, ensuring adequate iodine intake through the use of iodized salt, consumption of a balanced diet, and regular health check-ups help maintain a healthy thyroid.

January 22, 2026| Dr. Jose Rizal Memorial Hospital joins the National Autism Consciousness Week, observed every January 19-25 of every year. This year’s theme, “Mula Kamalayan Tungo sa Gawa: Pag-unlad ng Autism-ok Philippines,” calls on everyone to move beyond awareness and into meaningful, inclusive action. 💙

The Public Health Unit – Health Education and Promotion Office, in collaboration with the Psychological Services Unit, conducted a lecture-discussion on Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) earlier today at the Outpatient Department Waiting Area.

Mr. Reynald Kyamko, Psychologist II, shared valuable insights on ASD, emphasizing that beyond awareness and understanding lies the importance of genuine support, acceptance, and inclusion for individuals with autism.
