The Dr. Jose Rizal Memorial Hospital conducts its first ever Kiddie Health Hair: 7 Healthy Habits for Happy Kids in observance of the National Children's Month and National Consciousness Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women and Children on November 28, 2025 at the DJRMH Mini Gymnasium. 👧🏻🧒🏻

The said event aims to promote the 7 Healthy Habits through interactive booths covering the following priority areas for Health:
🥗💪 Diet and Exercise
🌏🧼 Environmental Health
💉🩺 Immunization
🚭💯 Substance Use Prevention
🧘🧠 Mental Health

Ayon sa National Health Promotion & Literacy Longitudinal Study (2024), 1 sa 5 Pilipino lang ang nakakaabot ng 150 minuto ng ehersisyo bawat linggo.

Pero ngayong Disyembre, nagsisimula na ang dance practice para sa Christmas at Year-End Parties, kaya tandaan, ang pagsasayaw ay ehersisyo na rin at nakakabawas ng calories! 💃🕺🎶

🕒 Sa 30 minuto:
👉 Magaan na sayaw — 75–125 calories
👉 Katamtamang sayaw — 150–200 calories
👉 Mabilis o matinding sayaw — 250+ calories

November 26, 2025| Dr. Jose Rizal Memorial Hospital has formally entered into a partnership with Kaiser International Healthgroup, Inc. for the implementation of the National Health Shield Program, an HMO benefit aimed at supporting and protecting our dedicated public health workers of this institution. 🥳👏

The Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) was formally signed yesterday, November 25, 2025, at the 2nd Floor DJRMH Administration Building- Conference Room.

The Kaiser International Healthgroup, Inc. was represented by Ms. Zorayda Rosanes, IMG Vice Chair, and Dr. Maria Dinna C. Viray-Pariñas, Medical Center Chief II, in the presence of the DJRMH Management Committee and the Samahan nga mga Kawani ng Dr. Jose Rizal Memorial Hospital.

This partnership marks a significant step toward ensuring that our hospital workforce who serve with compassion and commitment receive the healthcare support they truly deserve.

November 25, 2025| National Consciousness Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women and Children is observed every 25th of November, marking the start of the 18-Day Campaign to End Violence Against Women.

The Dr. Jose Rizal Memorial Hospital spearheaded by the office of the Medical Social Service in collaboration with the Health Education and Promotion Office conducted an advocacy campaign at the Outpatient Department waiting area to raise awareness about the importance of eliminating violence against women and children, promoting a culture of respect and equality.

Ms. Larizza Mae Dagpin, COS-SWA, shared valuable insights and called to unite in protecting and empowering women and children, and advocating for zero tolerance in all forms of abuse and violence. She emphasized that actions begin in understanding, embracing, and speaking for the protection and respect of everyone's basic human rights.

Together, let us be "United for a VAW-Free Philippines." 🇵🇭🧡

‼️WHO, DOH TARGET 12M FILIPINOS TO BE SCREENED FOR TB BY 2026; PHILIPPINES AIMS TO DOUBLE BUDGET FOR TB SERVICES‼️

DOH is intensifying TB elimination efforts under President Marcos Jr.'s directive, with the new Philippine Strategic TB Elimination Plan (PhilSTEP2) and the Philippine Acceleration Action Plan for Tuberculosis PAAP-TB 2023–2035.

✅DOH plans to screen 12 million Filipinos nationwide by 2026.

✅DOH proposed 2026 budget for TB program is ₱4.2 Billion to accelerate service delivery.

✅ Prevention is strengthened through the roll-out of shorter Tuberculosis Preventive Treatment (TPT) regimens and contact investigation resulting in more than 50% increase in TPT enrollment in 2024.

✅TPT expansion to cover contacts of drug-resistant TB cases and is now under advanced programmatic implementation.

✅Literacy on prevention and treatment is also boosted with community campaigns like TPTodo.
