𝐄𝐧𝐝𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐨𝐬𝐢𝐬 𝐀𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 - 𝐑𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐠𝐧𝐢𝐳𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐎𝐟𝐭𝐞𝐧 𝐎𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐥𝐨𝐨𝐤𝐞𝐝

Observed every March, Endometriosis awareness month focuses on bringing visibility to a condition that affects 190 million people yet is frequently dismissed and overlooked (Shen et al., 2024; WHO, 2025). The campaign aims not only to inform but also amplify the voices of those affected and push for better care, research, and attention.

Endometriosis is a chronic condition in which tissues resembling the uterine lining grow in areas outside the uterus, leading to inflammation, scarring, and pain. While it is commonly associated with severe menstrual cramps, its effects go far beyond as many individuals also experience severe pelvic pain, digestive issue, fatigue, and difficulty in conceiving (Cleveland Clinic, 2025) . Since symptoms vary widely, diagnosis often takes years and tears, leaving many without answers or support.

The normalization and romantization of menstrual pain, limited public awareness, and gaps in medical training acts as barriers that delays recognition and proper treatment. Increasing awareness and catalyzing initiatives helps challenge these misconceptions and encourages intervention.

Endometriosis Awareness Month calls on healthcare providers, policymakers, and individuals to listen, learn, and take action because no one should have to suffer in silence.

Heed endometriosis, act now.

March 21 is 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝 𝐃𝐨𝐰𝐧 𝐒𝐲𝐧𝐝𝐫𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐃𝐚𝐲 💙💛

𝗗𝗣𝗠𝗦 stands in solidarity with individuals with Down syndrome—celebrating their 𝙪𝙣𝙞𝙦𝙪𝙚𝙣𝙚𝙨𝙨, 𝙖𝙗𝙞𝙡𝙞𝙩𝙞𝙚𝙨, and the 𝙟𝙤𝙮 they bring to our communities. As 𝗳𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗳𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹𝘀, we are called not only to treat, but to advocate, include, and uplift.

Let us continue to promote awareness, break down stereotypes, and create a more inclusive and compassionate world where everyone is valued and empowered.

🧠 “Your brain is your greatest asset—protect it.”

This 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐝 𝐈𝐧𝐣𝐮𝐫𝐲 𝐀𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐃𝐚𝐲 reminds us that head injuries are not just momentary accidents, but life-changing events that can impact cognition, mobility, and the very core of human potential.

🌍 Today, we 𝘳𝘢𝘪𝘴𝘦 𝘢𝘸𝘢𝘳𝘦𝘯𝘦𝘴𝘴 and 𝘤𝘢𝘭𝘭 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘢𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯:
✨ Wearing helmets and protective gear,
✨ Practicing safety in sports, work, and travel,
✨ Supporting those who live with the consequences of head trauma.

🧩 𝑯𝒆𝒂𝒅 𝒊𝒏𝒋𝒖𝒓𝒊𝒆𝒔 can be prevented, and through collective responsibility, we can build a safer, more compassionate society where every mind is valued and protected.

💙 Awareness saves lives. Prevention protects futures.
