What is HPV vaccine?
The HPV vaccine helps protect you against certain types of Human Papilloma Virus or HPV that can lead to cancer or ge***al warts.

A. HPV types 16 and 18 — the 2 types that cause 80% of cervical cancer cases.

B. HPV types 6 and 11, which cause 90% of ge***al warts cases.

C. Another 5 types of HPV (types 31, 33, 45, 52, and 58) that can lead to cancer of the cervix, a**s, vulva/vagina, p***s, or throat.

Who should get the HPV vaccine?
All people ages 9 to 45 can get the HPV vaccine to protect against ge***al warts, cervical cancer, vaginal cancer, vulvar cancer and pe**le cancer in men. It is recommended that children can get the vaccine at age 9, so they’re fully protected years before they become sexually active.
