Last December 22, the Autism Therapy Center Foundation of Davao, Inc. (ATCFDI) came together for a joyful Year-End Party filled with laughter, love, and unforgettable moments. Our Disney-themed celebration truly brought magic to life as our Ausome kids, parents, staff, and coaches enjoyed a day full of smiles, colors, and togetherness. 🏰✨

We extend our deepest gratitude for a successful year—one made possible by the unwavering support of our parents and families, the dedication and passion of our coaches and staff, and the inspiring leadership of our Executive Director. Every milestone, progress, and victory this year reflects the collective effort, commitment, and heart of the ATCFDI community. 💙

Special thanks to our generous sponsors, most especially the Cañedo family, for their kindness and continuous support, which greatly contributed to the success of this celebration. We also extend our heartfelt appreciation to the University of Mindanao Interns for their creativity and effort in beautifully decorating the venue and bringing the Disney magic to life.

Friday Fun Day at ATCFDI! ✨
𝗗𝗲𝗰𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟭𝟵, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱

This Friday Fun Day focused on sensory regulation and relaxed engagement as our learners participated in a Visual and Auditory Sensory Marathon. The session was designed to support attention, emotional regulation, and sensory processing through gentle and enjoyable sensory experiences.

Our Friday Routine:

🇵🇭 Flag Ceremony – maintaining structure and daily routine.
🙏 Prayer with Sign Language – promoting calmness and inclusive communication.
🚶‍♂️ Gross Motor Walking – light movement to prepare the body and mind.
💆‍♂️ Sensory Massage – helping learners feel relaxed and ready for the main activity.

🎧👀 Main Activity: Visual and Auditory Sensory Marathon

☑ Learners engaged in a guided viewing session featuring calming visuals and child-friendly sounds. This activity aimed to:

☑ Support visual tracking and sustained attention

☑ Enhance auditory awareness through soft, structured sounds

☑ Promote emotional regulation and relaxation

☑ Provide a safe sensory experience for children who benefit from low-demand activities

The marathon allowed learners to observe, listen, and process at their own pace, creating a soothing end-of-week experience. Thank you to our behavioral coaches for ensuring a calm, supportive, and child-centered environment throughout the session.

Friday Fun Day at ATCFDI 💥⚡
𝗗𝗲𝗰𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟭𝟮, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱

Today’s SLE brought an energetic twist as our learners joined “Power Rangers Activate!” — a fun-filled session designed to strengthen fine motor skills, enhance color recognition, and promote purposeful movement through Power Rangers–themed activities.

Our Friday Routine:

🇵🇭 Flag Ceremony – starting the day with discipline and unity.
🙏 Prayer with Sign Language – encouraging focus and calm interaction.
🚶‍♂️ Gross Motor Walking – warming up the body for movement-based learning.
💆‍♂️ Sensory Massage – preparing the children for smoother participation.

⚡ SLE Theme: Power Rangers Activate!

This session aimed to help learners match colors, build hand-eye coordination, explore textures, and strengthen finger control through exciting, adventure-themed tasks.

Main Activities:

🔴🟡🔵🟢 Activity 1 – Counting Balls with Power Rangers
Children checked a color board, identified which Power Ranger color ball to get, and collected the correct number of balls from the next room. They then pasted the balls onto the board, practicing:

• Color recognition
• Counting and matching
• Fine motor strength through picking and pasting
• Following multi-step directions

🎯 Activity 2 – Power Rangers Color Match Game
Learners searched for colors in the box, chose the matching clip, and attached it to the yarn—just like powering up a Ranger team. This developed:

• Visual matching skills
• Precision in clipping
• Finger strength and coordination
• Attention to detail

💥 It was a fun mission that combined movement, focus, and play!

Friday Fun Day at ATCFDI ✨
𝗗𝗲𝗰𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟬𝟱, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱

The Christmas spirit filled our center today as our learners joined our festive SLE: “Santa’s List and His Christmas Tree!” 💚❤️ Through hands-on play and holiday-themed tasks, the children practiced language skills, following simple instructions, and strengthening their fine motor and sensory abilities — all wrapped in joyful Christmas fun!

Here’s what we did this Friday:

🇵🇭 Flag Ceremony – beginning our day with respect and routine.
🙏 Prayer with Sign Language – reinforcing mindfulness and inclusive communication.
🚶‍♂️ Gross Motor Walking – warming up the body for movement and focus.
💆‍♂️ Sensory Massage – helping learners relax and prepare for the main activities.

🎅 SLE Theme: “Santa’s List and His Christmas Tree”

A playful holiday-themed session designed to enhance receptive language, eye-hand coordination, and sensory integration through meaningful Christmas activities.

Main Activities:

🧺 Activity 1 – Help Santa Gather Items from His List
Learners picked objects based on the pictures shown to them, placed them in a bag, and brought the completed items to “Santa.” This built receptive language skills, picture recognition, following simple commands, and task completion.

🎄 Activity 2 – Make a Christmas Tree for Santa
Children decorated their own Christmas tree by applying glue with their pointer finger and pasting colorful cut-outs. This boosted fine motor control, finger isolation, creativity, and holiday excitement.

Today’s session was full of cheerful energy as our learners enjoyed a Minion-themed morning packed with movement, exploration, and creative activities. Each task supported coordination, focus, and social engagement — all in a playful, child-friendly way! 💛

What we did today:

🇵🇭 Flag Ceremony – starting the day with discipline and respect.
🙏 Prayer with Sign Language – encouraging mindfulness and inclusive communication.
🚶‍♂️ Gross Motor Dance, Walking – warming up the body through guided movement.
💆‍♂️ Sensory Massage – helping learners relax and prepare for the activities ahead.

🎮 SLE Theme: Compa-Minion Adventure Day!

A fun learning experience inspired by the beloved yellow characters — designed to build fine motor skills, visual recognition, and simple social interaction through hands-on play.

Main Activities:

🍌 Activity 1 – “Bello? Feed Me Banana!”
Children picked their bananas and looked for the hungry Minions to feed. Through sticking the bananas on the Minions’ mouths, they practiced hand-eye coordination, visual scanning, and simple conversation with the facilitator.

🔎 Activity 2 – The Minion Mission
Learners searched for disassembled Minion pieces, fixed them, and matched them to the correct labeled boxes. This activity targeted sorting, matching, and visual differentiation, all while keeping the theme fun and engaging.

🖍️ Activity 3 – Trace a Minion & Reward Station
Children traced their own Minion outline and added simple details. This short task supported fine motor control, pencil skills, and creativity — ending with their well-earned loot bag reward.

Yesterday’s Friday Fun Day was filled with teamwork, creativity, and joyful engagement as our learners joined “Ralph & Friends: Fix, Race, and Celebrate!” 💙 Through movement, hands-on tasks, and expressive activities, they practiced communication, sequencing, and motor skills — all while having so much fun! 🌈✨

Here’s what we did:

🚶‍♂️ Gross Motor Walking – promoting coordination, strength, and sensory awareness.

🎮 SLE Theme: Ralph & Friends – Fix, Race, and Celebrate!
A playful session designed to promote social interaction, cooperation, turn-taking, sequencing, and fine & gross motor development through themed, child-friendly activities.

Main Activities:
🧱 Ralph’s Friendship Fix-Up!
Children helped “fix the broken wall” by placing blocks one by one — practicing turn-taking, sequencing, patience, and simple communication while celebrating every effort.

🍬 Candy Rush Race
Learners collected colorful “candy papers” using their “candy car cups,” enhancing fine motor coordination, attention, following directions, and waiting for turns.

🎨 Coloring Time with Ralph & Friends
Children colored different Wreck-It Ralph–inspired characters together, supporting creativity, color recognition, fine motor control, and shared participation as they worked side by side.

Main Activities:

Learners used a cardboard “flashlight” to search for and count hidden aliens — supporting visual scanning, attention, and counting skills.
🥎 Mission: Knock Down the Aliens
Using paper balls, children knocked down stacked “alien cups,” enhancing hand-eye coordination, focus, and motor control.
🚀 Rocket Fun – Up, Up, Away!
Learners blew paper rockets using straws, a fun way to improve oral motor strength while enjoying pretend space travel.
🪐 Astronaut Paste: Off to the Planets!
Children pasted astronauts onto outer space scenes, boosting creativity, fine motor precision, and imaginative play.

🎨 SLE Theme: Ahoy, Captains! A Pirate Adventure
This session supported child development through interactive and thematic activities focused on sensory exploration, creativity, and teamwork — all within a fun, pirate-themed setting! ☠️🏴‍☠️

Objectives:
🪙 Enhance sensory experience through exploring and identifying hidden “treasures.”
🎨 Strengthen creativity and fine motor skills through art and design.
🤝 Foster collaboration and participation through imaginative group play.

Main Activities:
💎 Treasure Chest Hunt – learners used their sense of touch and sight to find hidden objects, enhancing attention, focus, and sensory awareness.
⛵ Build-a-Ship Crafts – children practiced cutting, pasting, and coloring while designing their own pirate ships, encouraging imagination and fine motor control.
🏴‍☠️ Pirate Hat Art – a creative activity that allowed learners to express themselves through crafting and decorating their own hats, boosting confidence and participation.

Last Friday, our learners had a wonderful day filled with creativity, emotions, and teamwork! Through engaging and meaningful activities, they learned to express their feelings, connect with others, and let their minds shine bright. 🌈

Here’s what we did:

SLE Theme: Inside Out — Hearts that Feel, Minds that Shine
A session dedicated to understanding emotions and celebrating self-expression through guided play and creativity. 🎨

Main Activities:
🖍️ Group Art: “Our Happy Place” Poster Making – fostering teamwork, imagination, and emotional expression.
⚽ Emotional Ball Match (Crossing the Bridge) – identifying and managing emotions while developing motor skills.
🎁 Mystery Box – stimulating curiosity and problem-solving by identifying objects through touch.

We would like to thank our amazing interns from the University of Mindanao (Batch 1) for facilitating and bringing so much energy and creativity to our learners’ activities. 💛
