Good day, moms! Today weโll talk about the importance of prenatal care. Prenatal check-ups help us ensure both you and your baby are safe and healthy throughout pregnancy.
First, nutrition: Eat a balanced diet with vegetables, fruits, meat, eggs, and milk. Donโt forget to take your iron and folic acid supplements daily. Avoid alcohol, ci******es, and too much coffee.
Second, know the danger signs of pregnancy. If you feel severe headache, blurred vision, sudden swelling, bleeding, or if your baby is moving less, please go to the nearest health facility right away.
Third, personal care: Bathe daily, wear loose comfortable clothes, and make sure to get enough rest. Continue daily activities but avoid carrying heavy loads.
Fourth, emotional care: Pregnancy can cause mood changes. Share your feelings with supportive family and attend prenatal classes.
Lastly, birth preparedness: Prepare clean baby clothes, personal items, emergency numbers, and be sure your PhilHealth is updated.
Remember, your check-ups are important: once in the first trimester, monthly in the second, and more often in the third trimester. This way, we can guide you until delivery and keep both you and your baby safe.
