The basic ideal that the Department of Physical Therapy believes is the recognition that each individual has the responsibility for maintaining the quality and dignity of his/her own life and actively participate in enriching the human community. Therefore we shall aim to provide an educational environment that provides substantial breadth and depth of knowledge on basic and applied sciences, incorporate critical integrity and bridge theory to practice. The faculty upholds to a learning environment that values human dignity across students of varied backgrounds while fostering moral responsibility and academic excellence. Everyone enrolled in the program is readily prepared to participate in the broad spectrum of activities at different modalities that span a range from health promotion through comprehensive rehabilitation. They are encouraged to develop their potential for lifelong learning, recognizing that the struggle for continual betterment of society, profession, and self is an ongoing process throughout their professional careers. Consistent with the regulation of the Commission on Higher Education and the vision, mission, and goals of Davao Doctors College: "THROUGH EXCELLENCE WE SHALL LEAD." Physical Therapy graduates are valued for their individual abilities to contribute to both society and profession.

It is the aim of the DDC Physical Therapy Program to be a leader in physical therapy education, resulting to quality service to society. The program intends to achieve this via the following goals:

Develop generalist practitioners who are prepared to assume future roles of the physical therapist as a practitioner, community-based therapist, teacher, researcher, consultant, administrator and leader.

Promote academic excellence and support teaching, learning, and professional growth of students and faculty in a caring environment.

Contribute to evidence-based practice through faculty and student scholarly activity.

Foster the development of environmental concerns, humanistic and ethical values that embrace diversity to produce graduates that will better serve the community.

Employ faculty who exemplify excellence in teaching and serve as professional role models.

Continually assess, develop and improve the program.

The DDC Physical Therapy graduate with:
