# TransformationTuesday
Stephanie is Johoney's one and only child. Last year, while playing on the monkey bars at the playground, Stephanie slipped and fell to the ground, hitting her right elbow and breaking it.
Instead of being taken to a hospital, Stephanie was given massages, as her family could not afford medical care expenses. The nearest hospital, which was two hours away, was beyond their reach. Because her arm was left untreated, it began to deform. Sadly, Stephanie could no longer fully stretch or bend her arm.
This limitation made her life difficult. She longed to play like other children, but fear of injuring herself further held her back. At school, her condition became a source of bullying. Some children mocked her and called her names like "singkaw" (crooked arm). Even in church, Stephanie struggled. She would always ask her mother for a handkerchief so she could cover her arm throughout the service. "Sometimes when I forget to bring my handkerchief, Stephanie would go home crying and not finish the service. She doesn't like it when people stare at her arm," Johoney shared with a heavy heart.
Despite these challenges, Stephanie holds onto a big dream—she wants to become a police officer one day. "I want a straight arm because they said I can't be a police officer with a crooked arm," Stephanie said honestly.
Stephanie's uncle, whose son once had cleft surgery at Tebow CURE Children's Hospital, told Johoney about the sponsored surgeries available. Hope has arrived for Stephanie through the surgery you helped make possible. In September of this year, Stephanie received her corrected surgery and is now deformity-free! She can now fully stretch her arm, attend face-to-face classes, and play with her classmates. "I can fully stretch my right arm. I can play again with my friends," Stephanie said happily.
Thank you to all our partners and sponsors who made this incredible transformation possible. God bless you!
