Occupational Therapists play a crucial role in disaster preparedness and recovery by assessing and addressing the physical, cognitive, and emotional needs of individuals affected by disasters. They help communities build resilience through education on adaptive strategies and assist in developing emergency plans that consider diverse abilities. During recovery, OTs facilitate rehabilitation, promote mental health, and support individuals in regaining independence in daily activities, ensuring a holistic approach to rebuilding lives and fostering long-term well-being.

We call on all Occupational Therapists to step forward and contribute their unique skills and compassion to disaster response efforts, helping communities recover and thrive in the face of adversity. 💜🩵

𝐂𝐀𝐋𝐋 𝐅𝐎𝐑 𝐃𝐎𝐍𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍𝐒 🩷💚🩵💙💜

𝐂𝐀𝐑𝐄 𝐓𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐲 𝐇𝐮𝐛, in partnership with 𝐂𝐥𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐞𝐬 𝐓𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐩𝐲 𝐂𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫 and 𝐑𝐢𝐩𝐩𝐥𝐞 𝐓𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐩𝐲 𝐂𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫, has organized a relief drive for the victims of the recent earthquake, especially those in the affected areas of Davao Oriental.

We are calling for donations of any kind — food, clean water, clothes, and other essentials. Monetary donations are also welcome and will be used to purchase urgent supplies for the families in need. 💛

All proceeds and collected goods will be delivered to Davao Oriental on 𝐎𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝟏𝟓.

Together, let’s extend our care and compassion to help our fellow Filipinos rebuild and recover. 🤝

“The Power of Early Detection”

Every child develops at their own pace, some talk earlier, some walk later, and that’s perfectly okay! 💕
But sometimes, small signs can mean a child might need a little extra support. These could include challenges in communication, movement, play, attention, or interaction with others. Recognizing these early signs of developmental delay is not about labeling a child. It’s about opening doors to the help they deserve!

Early identification allows families and professionals to work together to provide early intervention, which can greatly improve a child’s ability to learn, communicate, and participate in everyday activities. Research shows that the earlier we intervene, the greater the impact on a child’s development and confidence.

As parents, caregivers, and educators, we play a crucial role in observing and understanding how children grow. Trust your instincts! If something feels different, don’t wait. Reach out, ask questions, and seek professional guidance. ❤️

SM turns 40 and celebrates big by opening the first-ever Sensory Lab in the country at SM Mall of Asia! 💙

A calming, sensory-friendly space made for individuals on the spectrum, created together with DSWD, NCDA, and Autism Society Philippines.
