Policy Update: Lifting of Mandatory Face Mask Requirement

The mandatory requirement for wearing face masks within school premises, including all classrooms, common areas, and indoor facilities, is officially 𝒍𝒊𝒇𝒕𝒆𝒅.

This decision is based on a thorough assessment of the local health situation and the successful management and containment of the recent increase in chickenpox cases within our school community. The primary health concern that necessitated the mask mandate has subsided.

While the mandatory requirement is removed, 𝒂𝒍𝒍 𝒎𝒆𝒎𝒃𝒆𝒓𝒔 𝒐𝒇 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒔𝒄𝒉𝒐𝒐𝒍 𝒄𝒐𝒎𝒎𝒖𝒏𝒊𝒕𝒚 𝒂𝒓𝒆 𝒆𝒏𝒄𝒐𝒖𝒓𝒂𝒈𝒆𝒅 𝒕𝒐 𝒄𝒐𝒏𝒕𝒊𝒏𝒖𝒆 𝒘𝒆𝒂𝒓𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒇𝒂𝒄𝒆 𝒎𝒂𝒔𝒌𝒔, particularly in crowded or poorly ventilated indoor settings, due to the ongoing and projected severity of the 𝙨𝙚𝙖𝙨𝙤𝙣𝙖𝙡 𝙞𝙣𝙛𝙡𝙪𝙚𝙣𝙯𝙖 (𝙛𝙡𝙪) 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙤𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙧 𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙥𝙞𝙧𝙖𝙩𝙤𝙧𝙮 𝙞𝙡𝙡𝙣𝙚𝙨𝙨𝙚𝙨.

The shift is from a mandatory requirement to 𝙖 𝙫𝙤𝙡𝙪𝙣𝙩𝙖𝙧𝙮 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙥𝙚𝙧𝙨𝙤𝙣𝙖𝙡 𝙝𝙚𝙖𝙡𝙩𝙝 𝙙𝙚𝙘𝙞𝙨𝙞𝙤𝙣. We urge individuals who are immunocompromised, experiencing symptoms of illness (even mild ones), or frequently interacting with vulnerable populations to continue masking as a proactive measure.

The following essential health protocols remain in effect and must be rigorously observed by everyone:

1. Individuals displaying symptoms of a communicable illness (e.g., fever, persistent cough) must self-isolate
2. Frequent and thorough handwashing with soap and water, or the use of alcohol-based sanitizers, is mandatory
3. Cover coughs and sneezes with a tissue or the elbow. Dispose of used tissues immediately.

🧾 Mga Bagay na Dapat Ninyong Malaman at Maiwasan Tungkol sa Bulutong Tubig (Varicella)

✅ Ano ang Bulutong Tubig?
Ang bulutong tubig ay isang nakahahawang sakit na dulot ng varicella-zoster virus. Ito ay nagdudulot ng lubhang makating singaw na may mga paltos na puno ng tubig na karaniwang makikita sa dibdib, likod, at mukha. Ang bulutong tubig ay karaniwang banayad lalo na sa mga malusog na tao, ngunit maaari itong magdulot ng matinding mga sintomas sa mga bata at sa mga taong may mahinang immune system.

🔍 Mga Tanda at Sintomas:
🌡️ Lagnat
🤕 Sakit ng ulo
😴 Pagkapagod
🔴 Makating pulang tuldok na nagiging paltos na puno ng tubig
🌬️ Kawalan ng gana sa pagkain

🦠 3 Yugto
1️⃣ Mga namamagang bukol na tinatawag na papules, na lumalabas sa loob ng ilang araw.
2️⃣ Maliliit na paltos na puno ng tubig na tinatawag na vesicles, na nabubuo sa loob ng isang araw at pagkatapos ay nabubutas at tumutulong.
3️⃣ Mga balat at kulob, na tumatakip sa mga nabasag na paltos at tumatagal ng ilang araw pa bago gumaling.

🛡️ Mga Payo sa Pag-iwas:
💉 Magpabakuna – Ang varicella vaccine ay ligtas at epektibo.
🚫 Iwasan ang Pakikipag-ugnayan – Lumayo sa mga taong may sakit, lalo na sa panahon ng pagkakahawa.
🧼 Magsanay ng Mabuting Kalinisan – Ang regular na paghuhugas ng kamay ay makakatulong na mabawasan ang pagkalat.
🏠 Ihiwalay Kapag May Sakit – Panatilihin ang taong may sakit sa bahay hanggang sa mga paltos ay naging kulob na.
👚 Huwag Kamukhin – Iwasan ang pagkakapeklat at impeksyon sa pamamagitan ng pagpapaiklí at paglilinis ng mga kuko.

📌 Ano ang Gagawin Kapag May Sakit:
🛏️ Magpahinga at mag-inom ng maraming tubig
🧴 Gumamit ng calamine lotion o oatmeal bath upang maibsan ang kati
🧊 Mag-apply ng malamig na compress
💊 Uminom ng paracetamol na inirekomenda ng doktor (iwasan ang aspirin!)

📞 Humingi ng medical attention kung may mga problema sa paghinga, matinding sintomas, o mga tanda ng impeksyon
