Rest in Fullness
Sometimes we can be unconscious of our restless state when we lay upon our bed. Be mindful in letting your head rest completely onto your pillow, trust that it can support you. If you are awaking with headaches this could be a result of built up tension in the neck muscles where the head has been slightly raised without realizing that you are doing so. Your pillow does not need your help.
We also have the tendency to try to help our mattress in supporting our bodies with slightly raised shoulders, arched backs and stiff legs. These are defensive mechanisms that we use to protect ourselves during sleeping hours.
It is important to be at peace with God being your Protector in these most vulnerable times. What many believe to be arthritis could be suffering from pain related to tense muscles. Trust your mattress to do its job, relax completely and enjoy sweet rest.
