is a duly registered open stock corporation established in December 20, 1991 by a core group of physicians driven by a common goal.......... to serve. It was an offshoot of the sudden closure of the hospital they were all working with, and in their desire for keeping up of their patients needs, they pooled their meager resources and thus Digos Doctors’ Hospital was born in an existing building whi

ch they rented along Rizal Avenue in Digos City. It was initially accredited as a 50 bed secondary health care facility under a memorandum of agreement that it shall build it’s envisioned physical plant in 5 years time. It didn’t take that long and Digos Doctors’ moved to it’s final home to where it’s now standing tall and proud in November 1995. It was approved as a tertiary level facility in March 1997 with an increased bed capacity of 75 beds. It’s phenomenal growth continued with the influx of new technology, equipments and arrival of some doctors and specialists. A three (3) level new structure has just been recently erected which would increase the bed capacity to 111 beds. Boasting of it’s complete facilities and medical staff, Digos Doctors’ enjoys being the center of health care in Digos City as well as outlying area in Davao del Sur and Region XI.

In line with its commitment to continuous professional development, Digos Doctors’ Hospital conducted its in-house lecture series for the month of March.

Dr. Jose Paolo Panuda delivered a comprehensive lecture on Diabetes Therapies and Diabetic Emergencies, which provided updated insights on the management of diabetes and the prompt recognition and treatment of acute complications.

Complementing this, Dr. Michael Angelo P. Doromal presented on Nursing Considerations in Managing Patients with Kidney Problems, emphasizing essential nursing interventions, patient monitoring, and holistic care approaches for individuals with renal conditions.

The lecture series underscores the hospital’s ongoing efforts to enhance clinical knowledge and uphold excellence in the delivery of quality healthcare services.

As we celebrate World Social Work Day, Digos Doctors' Hospital, Inc. participated in the World Social Work Day Celebration on March 12, 2026. This year's theme is " Co-Building Hope and Harmony: A Harambe Call to Unite a Divided Society," emphasized unity, collective responsibility, and collaboration in addressing social challenges.

In line with this celebration, the Medical Social Services conducted a simple outreach activity to support patients in need. As part of the initiative, the hospital distributed rice and grocery packs to selected patients in the OB Ward of the Davao del Sur Provincial Hospital, which was chosen as the target beneficiary due to the large number of patients being served in the ward.

This activity aimed to extend compassion and practical assistance to mothers and their families, reflecting the spirit of solidarity, care, and community support highlighted in this year's theme. Digos Doctors' Hospital, Inc. recognized the important role of social workers in promoting social justice, supporting vulnerable individuals, and strengthening community partnerships.

As part of its continuing professional development initiatives, Digos Doctors’ Hospital successfully conducted its in-house lecture series for the month of February.

On February 9, 2026, Dr. Sean Fergie Verallo delivered a comprehensive discussion on Ventilator-Associated Pneumonia (VAP) Bundles and Tracheostomy Care, highlighting evidence-based practices aimed at improving patient safety and reducing complications in mechanically ventilated patients.

This was followed on February 23, 2026, by a lecture from Dr. Clint Ivan Fernandez on Mechanical Ventilation Management, providing participants with updated insights on ventilatory strategies, monitoring, and critical care management.

The lecture series forms part of the hospital’s ongoing commitment to strengthening clinical knowledge, enhancing patient outcomes, and promoting excellence in healthcare delivery.
