𝙔𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙃𝙚𝙖𝙡𝙩𝙝, 𝙊𝙪𝙧 𝘾𝙤𝙣𝙘𝙚𝙧𝙣 The DIGOS DOCTORS’ HOSPITAL, INC.

is a duly registered open stock corporation established in December 20, 1991 by a core group of physicians driven by a common goal.......... to serve. It was an offshoot of the sudden closure of the hospital they were all working with, and in their desire for keeping up of their patients needs, they pooled their meager resources and thus Digos Doctors’ Hospital was born in an existing building which they rented along Rizal Avenue in Digos City. It was initially accredited as a 50 bed secondary health care facility under a memorandum of agreement that it shall build it’s envisioned physical plant in 5 years time. It didn’t take that long and Digos Doctors’ moved to it’s final home to where it’s now standing tall and proud in November 1995. It was approved as a tertiary level facility in March 1997 with an increased bed capacity of 75 beds. It’s phenomenal growth continued with the influx of new technology, equipments and arrival of some doctors and specialists. A three (3) level new structure has just been recently erected which would increase the bed capacity to 111 beds. Boasting of it’s complete facilities and medical staff, Digos Doctors’ enjoys being the center of health care in Digos City as well as outlying area in Davao del Sur and Region XI.

As part of its continuing professional development initiatives, Digos Doctors’ Hospital successfully conducted its in-house lecture series for the month of February.

On February 9, 2026, Dr. Sean Fergie Verallo delivered a comprehensive discussion on Ventilator-Associated Pneumonia (VAP) Bundles and Tracheostomy Care, highlighting evidence-based practices aimed at improving patient safety and reducing complications in mechanically ventilated patients.

This was followed on February 23, 2026, by a lecture from Dr. Clint Ivan Fernandez on Mechanical Ventilation Management, providing participants with updated insights on ventilatory strategies, monitoring, and critical care management.

The lecture series forms part of the hospital’s ongoing commitment to strengthening clinical knowledge, enhancing patient outcomes, and promoting excellence in healthcare delivery.

The program also included actual demonstrations of key clinical procedures, led by Head Nurses from various stations, providing hands-on guidance and practical reinforcement of core competencies. This approved expansion aims to enhance the hospital’s capacity to serve more patients requiring regular dialysis treatment, ensuring improved accessibility, efficiency, and quality of care.

Digos Doctors’ Hospital has successfully performed the first-ever Percutaneous Nephrolithotomy (PCNL) procedure in the Province of Davao del Sur on February 11, 2026.

The procedure was successfully carried out by 𝘿𝙧. 𝙈𝙞𝙠𝙚 𝘼𝙣𝙩𝙝𝙤𝙣𝙮 𝘿. 𝙏𝙞𝙡𝙡𝙤, 𝘿𝙋𝘽𝙐, 𝙁𝙋𝙐𝘼; 𝘿𝙧. 𝙈𝙖𝙧𝙠 𝘼𝙣𝙩𝙝𝙤𝙣𝙮 𝘾. 𝘽𝙚𝙣𝙞𝙜𝙣𝙤𝙨; 𝘿𝙧. 𝘾𝙤𝙣𝙧𝙖𝙙 𝙀𝙖𝙧𝙡 𝙈. 𝘾𝙖𝙗𝙖𝙝𝙪𝙜; 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝘿𝙧. 𝙏𝙖𝙧𝙖 𝙎𝙝𝙖𝙣𝙚 𝙇. 𝘼𝙧𝙖𝙣𝙚𝙩𝙖.

The success of the procedure was further supported by the hospital’s newly acquired 𝘾-𝙖𝙧𝙢 𝙞𝙢𝙖𝙜𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙢𝙖𝙘𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙚 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝘾-𝙖𝙧𝙢 𝙨𝙪𝙧𝙜𝙞𝙘𝙖𝙡 𝙩𝙖𝙗𝙡𝙚, which provide high-resolution, real-time imaging and enhanced procedural accuracy.
