✨ 𝐇𝐈𝐌𝐀𝐌𝐀𝐓 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓 ✨

In celebration of Red Cross Youth Month, the SVCI College Red Cross Youth once again joined the Red Cross Youth – Zamboanga del Norte Chapter for the 2nd Himamat, an event that truly lived up to its meaning — “encounter.” It was a meaningful day of connection, camaraderie, and shared purpose as we met fellow councils and celebrated the spirit of volunteerism.

We’re beyond grateful to everyone who participated, especially to our dedicated officers who led the way and to our volunteers who offered their helping hands throughout the event.

We’re also proud to bring home the following awards:

‼️ ALERT: Power outage and tsunami warning in Davao Oriental ‼️
The area is currently experiencing a power outage and is under a tsunami warning following the recent seismic activity.

According to Tsunami Information No. 1, a destructive tsunami is expected, with life-threatening wave heights reaching more than one meter above the normal sea level.

📢 PHIVOLCS advises residents:
🚫 Stay away from the beach and coastal areas
🏃 Move farther inland or to higher ground immediately
🚤 Boat owners: Secure your vessels and avoid waterfront areas
⚠️ Vessels already at sea: Stay in deep waters until the all-clear is given

🔴 Chairman Richard J. Gordon reminds all Volunteers and local chapters:
✅ Monitor your areas closely
➡️ Move people to safety and assist in evacuation
➡️ Report observations and rising water levels to PRC Hotline 143
