Run for Autism is more than a race. It is an advocacy and a movement for a brighter tomorrow for children with autism and learners with different needs. We know that our community is not always designed for them. Through Run for Autism, we take action to help make Dipolog more inclusive and truly .

This event helps raise awareness, build understanding, and create safe spaces where these children can grow, learn, and thrive. Together, we can make a place where everyone belongs.

So, join us in this movement and run with purpose.

This is our small but powerful autism community, coming together in the culmination of the The people you see here may be few in number, but we are united by a shared visionโ€”creating a more inclusive, understanding, and supportive community for individuals on the autism spectrum and their families.

Even after 30 years of National Autism Consciousness Week, we acknowledge that many challenges remain. There are still limited local policies that ensure full access and inclusion for individuals with autism. Opportunities for job training and employment are still few, and misconceptions about Autism Spectrum Disorder continue to exist.

But today, we choose to focus on hope and progress. Events like this remind us that we are not alone. Standing side by side, we feel empowered, heard, and strengthened. Every year, we see doors opening. Every year, we see more people joining this advocacy. Every year, our community grows strongerโ€”and with it, our hope grows brighter.

We encourage all families to keep making noise, to keep showing up, and to keep standing firm in advocacy. Your voices matter. Your stories matter. Your presence matters. Together, we are shaping a community that learns, understands, and embraces every individual.

๐Ÿ“ฃ Understanding Autism and Co-occurring Conditions

Did you know that children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) are more likely to have other conditions, like ADHD, anxiety, intellectual disability, or sensory challenges? Sometimes, these co-occurring conditions go unnoticed, but they can affect your childโ€™s behavior, learning, and daily life.

Visiting a developmental-behavioral pediatrician can help identify these hidden challenges early. With the right support and strategies, you can better help your child manage their behaviors, thrive in school, and feel more confident every day.

๐Ÿ‘ถ Early check-ups = better understanding + better care.
