The Department of Health - Center for Health Development CALABARZON, through its Adolescent Health and Development Program (AHDP) and Mental Health Program (MHP), is proud to present the Katatagan Caravan: Building Resilient Adolescents in CALABARZON from August to October 2025. This regional initiative aims to empower adolescents by promoting mental health awareness and resilience. The program will be held across all 31 T.E.E.N.Dig Centers in CALABARZON, delivering mental health activities tailored to the unique needs of the youth.
The Teendig Kabataan Dagatan National High School (TNHS) is honored to join this significant cause and to be part of this meaningful endeavor aimed at nurturing the mental and emotional strength of the youth in our region.
On behalf of Serafin M. Caringal, Principal III of Dagatan National High School, and the teaching and non-teaching personnel of DNHS, Mr. Bobbie M. Tolentino, Guidance Designate, warmly welcomed everyone to the event, emphasizing the importance of resilience among adolescents in facing life's challenges. Rachell Ann M. Reyes, RN, Public Health Nurse I and AHDP/MHP Coordinator of the Municipal Health Office in Dolores, extended her full support for the initiative, highlighting the crucial role of mental health programs in building a stronger community. Hon. Kryzt Andrey M. Bacay, SK Chairperson of Dagatan, delivered an inspirational message, encouraging the youth to develop resilience and the strength to overcome adversities in their lives.
Len Lyn G. Porta, RN, T.E.E.N.Dig Nurse from Talipan National High School, shared an empowering message titled "Building Katatagan: Staying Strong When Life Gets Tough," reminding students that mental strength is key to navigating difficult situations. Following this, Princess Ma. Fatima D. Roces, RN, T.E.E.N.Dig Nurse from Dagatan National High School, facilitated an Open Forum where students were encouraged to share their thoughts and experiences on mental health and resilience.
After the forum, Princess Ma. Fatima D. Roces, RN led the "Resilience Tree Activity," designed to help students express their personal strengths and sources of resilience. Mr. Bobbie M. Tolentino, Guidance Designate of Dagatan National High School, then led the Post-Activity Processing, allowing the students to reflect on the lessons learned and how they could apply them in their daily lives.
Finally, Ms. Realyn L. Anives, Assistant Health Coordinator for the Junior High School at Dagatan National High School, closed the program with a message of encouragement and gratitude for everyoneโs participation and support.
This event reflects our commitment to empowering the youth and strengthening their resilience, equipping them with the tools they need to face lifeโs challenges with a positive mindset. We look forward to seeing the transformation this initiative will bring to our adolescents as they grow mentally, emotionally, and socially.
