Care That Knows No Borders

A simple household moment turned into a frightening accident for a 2-year-old little girl J.R. from Jovellar, Albay, after boiling water accidentally spilled on her head, causing a scald burn. What followed, however, was a reminder that compassion and care can cross provincial lines.

During a gift-giving activity, the child was personally met by our Supervising Chief of Hospital, Dr. Daniel John Lachica where immediate concern and support were extended. She was eventually referred to our institution, Donsol District Hospital, where she received free medical consultation & treatment, because no child should suffer simply because of where they come from.

As the only hospital situated in this area we proudly serve not only the people of Sorsogon but also our neighboring provinces. While health services may differ from one province to another, health is not selective in the Province of Sorsogon for care is given where it is needed, when it is needed. 🏥🤍

👶🔥 A gentle reminder to parents and caregivers:
• Keep boiling water, hot liquids, and cooking appliances out of children’s reach

Accidents can happen in a split second but together, we can prevent them and protect our children.

Because every life matters. Because every child deserves care. 💙

In full compliance with disaster preparedness protocols, DDH conducted its Quarterly Earthquake Drill and took part in the 4th Quarter National Simultaneous Earthquake Drill last Nov. 27, 2025, in collaboration with LGU Donsol, MDRRMO, and BFP Donsol. Safety begins with readiness. ⚠️🤝

We honor a beautiful soul who served Donsol District Hospital with heart for almost a decade. A nurse, a storekeeper, a friend… and a light we never thought we’d lose this soon. Only 35, but she touched lives like someone who lived a hundred years. Thank you for your kindness, your laughter, your quiet strength. Rest well,our dearest Ate Larla… heaven gained an angel too early.🥺😢💙🙏

We would like to inform everyone that our X-Ray machine is currently undergoing maintenance. As such, we are temporarily unable to accommodate walk-in patients for X-Ray procedures.

In the meantime, we are expanding our services to accommodate pregnant women (5 months and above) in need of Pelvic Ultrasound.

🗓 Schedule for Pelvic Ultrasound (5 months and above ONLY):
• Monday – Thursday: 8:00 AM – 12:00 NN
• Wednesday: Whole day service
