Basa Air Base Hospital is a Military Treatment Facility under 540th Air Base Group, Air Installation and Base Development Command, which offers out-patient, emergency, diagnostic, and other services to military personnel and residents of nearby areas. ALSO IT PROVIDES AEROMEDICAL SERVICES TO PILOTS AND AIRCREWS. IT IS APPROVED BY THE DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH, PHIL HOSPITAL ASSOCIATION, WITH LEVEL 1 PHILHEALTH ACCREDITATION THAT OPERATES 60-100 BED CAPACITY.

Basa Air Base Hospital Joins the Simultaneous Hospital Visit and Gift-Giving

On 28 November 2025, under the leadership of LTC CHERRY V SISON MC, Basa Air Base Hospital proudly participated the Simultaneous Armed Forces of the Philippines Hospital Visit and Gift Giving in connection with the 90th AFP Founding Anniversary with the theme: “Matatag na Sandatahang Lakas, Sandigan ng Bagong Pilipinas," with GENERAL ROMEO S BRAWNER JR PA as the guest of honor via video-teleconferencing (VTC).

The event was graced by the presence of COL MAYNARD P MARIANO PAF (MNSA), the Deputy Wing Commander, 960th Air and Missile Defense Wing (AMDW), COL EMERSON M RIVERA PAF (GSC), Group Commander, 540th Air Base Group and other officers of Basa Air Base.

As part of the commemoration, BABH extended heartfelt gift giving to military personnel currently admitted in the facility, a gesture that reflects the AFP’s enduring commitment to safeguard the health, welfare, and morale of its men and women in uniform.

The Award of Chief of Staff, AFP Commendation Medal and Ribbon was conferred upon selected BABH personnel for their exemplary service and significant contributions to military healthcare, recognizing their dedication to patient care, hospital operations, and mission readiness. The award was presented to LTC CHERRY V SISON MC, CPT ROCHELLE F AGCAOILI MAC, and Sgt John S Mendoza PAF.

This meaningful activity underscores the AFP’s dedication to caring for its personnel, ensuring that those who serve the nation are supported with compassion, solidarity, and honor.

Basa Air Base Hospital Celebrates 71 Years of Service

Basa Air Base Hospital commemorated its 71st Anniversary on 17 November 2025 at the Officer’s Club, Floridablanca, Pampanga. The event honored more than seven decades of military medical service, showcasing key accomplishments and highlighting initiatives that strengthened healthcare delivery and PAF readiness reflecting the hospital’s enduring legacy and its continued journey toward excellence.

The program featured a presentation of the hospital’s major achievements for the year, underscoring the progress made in capability enhancement, healthcare services, and efforts that advanced the overall readiness of the Philippine Air Force Medical Service.

BABH also recognized the exceptional performance and unwavering commitment of its personnel through the following individual awardees:

Where Duty Meets Life: Our Second Victory via C-Section👶🏼🫡

BABH, A PAF Military Treament Facility (MTF) dedicated to serving the uniformed personnel, Civilian Human Resource personnel, and authorized civilians today marked a powerful new mission, the safe delivery of a newborn via caesarean section, our second this year since the revival of maternity care.

What was once an operating room for mission-critical procedures now also supports the beginning of life. This moment stands as a triumph of trust, teamwork, and service beyond the call of duty.

This was made possible through the leadership of LTC CHERRY V SISON MC, Acting Commanding Officer and LTC DULCE ANN C GOTICO NC, Chief Nurse with the full support of COL EMERSON M RIVERA PAF (GSC), Group Commander, 540th Air Base Group.

The successful delivery via Caesarean Section on 19 October 2025, 8:16am, Sunday was conducted by Dra. Flerie Gem H. Mayor, Obstetrician-Gynecologist; Dr. Marc Jansen Granda, Anesthesiologist; CPT LINDY LOU B BACULIO MC, Pediatrician; and BABH Personnel.

A ready force is built on strong families. Through health support, we strengthen both one birth, one life, one moment at a time.

After years of quiet watch, the Delivery Room of Basa Air Base Hospital once again stands proud and alive.

The last recorded birth was on 07 February 2019. On 20 September 2025, those very doors opened once more, welcoming new life and reigniting a legacy of beginnings.

This reactivation was made possible through the leadership of LTC CHERRY V SISON MC, Acting Commanding Officer, with the full support of COL EMERSON M RIVERA PAF (GSC), Group Commander, 540th Air Base Group and COL VILLAMOR B COSTALES JR PAF (GSC), former Group Commander, 540th Air Base Group.

With Dra. Flerie Gem H. Mayor, Obstetrician-Gynecologist and Dra. Clarrisa Dimaliwat, Pediatrician, and BABH Personnel leading the successful delivery on 20 September 2025, 12:24pm, Saturday. BABH Delivery Room is once again battle-ready, not with arms, but with skilled hands, steady hearts, and unwavering commitment to care.

Today, BABH opens its doors anew, with reactivated facilities, renewed strength, and the promise of safe and compassionate service to every mother and child. Truly, a home for beginnings.

🩸Not all heroes wear capes. Sometimes, they just roll up their sleeves.

Basa Air Base Hospital under the leadership of LTC CHERRY V SISON MC, in collaboration with Jose B. Lingad Memorial General Hospital, held a successful bloodletting activity as part of its pre-anniversary activities on 12 September 2025. A total of 81 selfless donors from 5th FW, 355th AEW, 960th AMDW, 540th ABG participated in this noble cause.

This activity was more than a medical mission, it was a collective act of compassion. In every rolled-up sleeve, every silent prayer, and every drop donated, a unique kind of bravery was shown.

A heartfelt appreciation to our donors for giving someone a second chance and our to medical teams, volunteers, and support for creating a safe space.

Basa Air Base Hospital (BABH), under the leadership of LTC CHERRY V SISON MC, Acting Commanding Officer, and support of LTC DULCE ANN C GOTICO NC, Chief Nursing Service, proudly congratulates Ms. Mary Antonette Gaa Tingala, NA, for being awarded “Nursing Attendant of the Year” during the 52nd Founding Anniversary of the Philippine Air Force Nursing Service, held at CJVAB, Pasay City on 28 August 2025.

Her outstanding service was further recognized during the Joint Celebration of the 87th Founding Anniversary of the Nurse Corps, AFP, and the 60th Anniversary of the Military Nurses Association of the Philippines, Inc. (MNAP, Inc.), held at CGEA, Quezon City on 05 September 2025.
