We recently celebrated a successful delivery in our newly renovated birthing facility, made possible by our skilled and compassionate health workers. Through the implementation of Unang Yakap—ensuring immediate skin-to-skin contact, early breastfeeding, and essential newborn care—we continue to prioritize the safety, warmth, and well-being of both mother and baby.

RHU Joins the Celebration of Gamay Embajada Festival 2026

The Rural Health Unit (RHU) proudly participated in the celebration of Gamay Embajada Festival 2026, joining the community in showcasing unity, culture, and active civic involvement.

Through our participation, RHU personnel demonstrated support for local traditions while strengthening camaraderie and collaboration with fellow public servants and community members.

RHU remains committed not only to promoting health and wellness but also to actively taking part in community-building activities that celebrate our shared identity.

Through the leadership of Mayor Timoteo Capoquian, Jr. and continuous support of the Provincial Health Office and the Department of Health CHD VIII, our upgraded spaces, modern equipment, and dedicated healthcare team ensure a calm, supportive environment where mothers and babies are cared for with dignity, respect, and love. Strengthening Partnerships for Better Healthcare

We recently held a coordination meeting with representatives from Doctors Without Borders (MSF) to discuss and align on an upcoming healthcare project for the GAMALA Interlocal Health Zone, in cooperation with the Provincial Government of Northern Samar.

The meeting focused on strengthening partnerships, identifying priority health needs, and ensuring effective coordination to deliver quality, accessible, and life-saving health services to communities within the municipalities of Gamay, Mapanas and Lapinig. This partnership reflects a shared commitment to improving healthcare delivery, strengthening systems, and reaching those who need care the most.

We look forward to working closely with Doctors Without Borders to make a meaningful and lasting impact on the health and well-being of our communities.

🇵🇭 Paggunita sa Araw ni Dr. Jose Rizal 🇵🇭

Ngayong araw, sama-samang ginunita ng bayan ng Gamay, Northern Samar ang Araw ni Dr. Jose Rizal—isang pagpupugay sa ating pambansang bayani na nag-alay ng talino, tapang, at pagmamahal sa bayan.

Sa pamamagitan ng seremonya at mga gawain na pinangunahan ng Punong Bayan Dr Timoteo Capoquian, Jr, kasama ang mga hinalal na Opiyales ng bayan, muling pinaalalahanan tayo ng kanyang mga aral: ang kahalagahan ng edukasyon, pagkakaisa, at pagmamahal sa Pilipinas.

Maraming salamat sa panauhing pandangal na si Lt Col Francis Rosales at ang kanyang kinatawan na si 2Lt Josua Piamonte, sa pagbibigay ng makabuluhang mensahe para sa okasyon na ito.

Nawa’y magsilbing inspirasyon si Rizal sa patuloy nating paglilingkod sa bayan at sa kabataang Pilipino.
