Our hearts are full as we celebrate the successful Senior Wellness Program Kick-Off of St. Elizabeth Hospital, made even more meaningful by the presence of our beloved senior citizens and the support of our esteemed guest, Dr. Rochelle G. Oco, Regional Director of the National Commission of Senior Citizens.
Dr. Ma. Helena Veneracion-Garcia, SEHI’s Chief Medical Officer, shared that many senior citizens sometimes feel alone, but at St. Elizabeth Hospital, they are reminded that they are never alone. The hospital is committed to making them feel cared for, supported, and valued, this is the very heart of the Senior Citizen Wellness Program, bringing services closer to them and ensuring their well-being is always a priority.
Meanwhile, Dr. Rochelle G. Oco expressed her delight and appreciation, noting how the wide range of packages and health programs felt like a season of giving, like Pasko, offering meaningful “gifts” of health, care, and attention to senior citizens. She emphasized how these initiatives reflect genuine malasakit and a deep commitment to their welfare.
From shared laughter during Zumba, warm conversations over breakfast, every moment reminded us that caring for our seniors goes beyond treatment, it’s about connection, dignity, and living life fully at every stage.
