PUBLIC ADVISORY!

This is in response to the facebook post circulating around by certain Ms. Naneth Libres Arnaiz.

That patient transfered from Jorge P. Royeca Hospital and was not admitted because the hospital was fully occupied. Patient was advised admission till bag of water showed. They could not wait.

The couple decided to transfer to R.O. Diagan Cooperative Hospital and was advised to enter but the patient and her husband presumed that antigen test was required and bag of water showed first before admission. Laboratory was done immediately without requiring any down payment. E.R. Nurse comforted them not to worry. The Initial BP was 180/100. The nurse asked for any symptoms of headache, epigastric pain-negative. The nurse insisted the patient to enter the Emergency Room. After 30 minutes, while walking outside, the patient unexpectedly delivered outside with her husband’s assistance. Nurse hurried to bring the wheelchair and immediately transferred her to ER to complete the delivery.

All meds and antigen test were provided. The Bill was P3,147.00 total. They went home after the patient was declared stable. They even do not know who took the picture posted.

An official statement from the Capitol University Medical Center in the Philippines regarding the difference between cyber libel and the freedom of expression in the Digital Age.

Due to the recent events that has transpired, we would like to inform and educate the community in our region that there is a rightful process in voicing out your concerns regarding the services of healthcare providers and other institutions in order to avoid being criminally penalised for reckless expression of ones opinion resulting into cyber libel in accordance to the Philippine Cyber Crime Law.

As a cooperative healthcare institution that has been publicly serving the communities of SOCCSKSARGEN and other parts of Southern Mindanao for the past 33 years, we aim to continue to provide a heartwarming healthcare service to all types of people may it be the rich or even the poorest of the poor as we believe that there should be no discrimination when it comes to providing healthcare.

As such, we would like to be able to address any concerns that our patients and clients might have in a rightful manner and we will not tolerate any shameful comments and demeaning remarks that would result into the miscommunication of the integrity of our institution. We are open to address any positive feedbacks and complaints that would help us improve the service of our institution, and we hope that this statement will also prevent others into recklessly attempting to shame the integrity of any other individual or organisation especially those who have a big influence to public opinion.
