The area is currently experiencing a power outage and is under a tsunami warning following the recent seismic activity.

According to Tsunami Information No. 1, a destructive tsunami is expected, with life-threatening wave heights reaching more than one meter above the normal sea level.

🚫 Stay away from the beach and coastal areas
🏃 Move farther inland or to higher ground immediately
🚤 Boat owners: Secure your vessels and avoid waterfront areas

PHILIPPINE RED CROSS 143 GENERAL TRIAS ON THE MOVE‼️

The Philippine Red Cross Cavite Chapter – 143 General Trias proudly participated in the coordination meeting organized by the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (CDRRMO) in line with the observance of upcoming OPLAN UNDAS 2025.

Represented by our dedicated leaders Team Leader Vinson Y. Tagudin and Assistant Team Leader Paul Manuel, the team took part in the pre-deployment planning to ensure readiness, safety, and public security during the Undas observance in General Trias.

PHILIPPINE RED CROSS DEPLOYS HUMANITARIAN CARAVAN FOR NANDO AND HABAGAT RESPONSE

The Philippine Red Cross (PRC) has mobilized its Humanitarian Caravan, now en route to Cagayan and Ilocos Norte, to deliver life-saving assistance to communities severely affected by Super Typhoon Nando (Ragasa) and the enhanced southwest monsoon that has triggered widespread flooding, strong winds, and property damage.

Following its earlier preparations, PRC has now dispatched 500 kitchen sets, 500 jerry cans, 500 shelter tool kits to priority areas in Cagayan and Ilocos Norte.

The Philippine Red Cross has also deployed three food trucks, one of the flagship humanitarian assets of the organization, capable of serving thousands of hot meals to evacuees and affected residents.

To address urgent health needs, the PRC has also included basic medicines for both pediatric and adult patients, covering cough, colds, fever, antibiotics, and gastro medicines, sufficient to serve 1,600 individuals.

In support of water, sanitation, and hygiene services, the caravan carries a 10,000-liter water tanker, two 5,000-liter water bladders with tap stands, and one water treatment unit. Heavy equipment and transport vehicles have also been deployed, including two 10-wheeler trucks, and a pay loader already positioned in Nueva Vizcaya.

PRC Chairman Richard J. Gordon emphasized the organization’s commitment to rapid and effective response: “Here at the Philippine Red Cross, our goal is to be proactive and not reactive. We do not just respond to disasters, we anticipate them. We predict, Plan, Prepare, and Practice. Thanks to our RC143 volunteers, we have eyes on the ground and we’re always updated.”

Guidelines on the Use of Philippine Red Cross Emblems and Uniforms

In line with our commitment to uphold the integrity, discipline, and public trust of the Philippine Red Cross, we are formally issuing the official guidelines on the proper use of the Red Cross emblems and uniforms by all Red Cross volunteers.

🔴 The Red Cross emblem is a recognized international symbol protected under the Geneva Conventions and must be used with utmost respect and responsibility.
🔴 Wearing of official Red Cross uniforms is strictly for authorized volunteers and activities only.
🔴 Any misuse, alteration, or unauthorized reproduction of the emblem or uniform is prohibited and subject to appropriate action.
🔴 Volunteers are reminded to always wear their ID and complete uniform during official duties for proper identification and accountability.
🔴 The emblem must never be used for personal, political, or commercial purposes.

Let us all do our part in preserving the honor and meaning of the Red Cross symbol we proudly carry. Together, we continue to serve humanity with impartiality, neutrality, and integrity. ❤️🤍

LOOK | The Philippine Red Cross Cavite Chapter & RC143 General Trias, in coordination with OWWA Regional Welfare Office IV-A, successfully conducted a Calamity Relief Operation at Oval Sports Park, Brgy. Santiago, General Trias, Cavite yesterday, August 28, 2025.

Together with the General Trias Public Employment Service Office and City Health Office, our team dispatched 14 volunteers who began as early as 8:00 AM to provide medical assistance. A total of 132 patients were served (M-43, F-89), offering vital support to the community during this meaningful initiative.

This activity was spearheaded by PRC Cavite Chapter, Sir Mario Piano, and RC143 General Trias Coordinator, Sir Paul Manuel.

💖 A heartfelt thank you to all our dedicated volunteers who selflessly shared their time, skills, and energy. Your hard work, teamwork, and compassion brought comfort and hope to the community. Truly, without your commitment, this mission would not have been possible.
