🌿✨ 𝑻𝒉𝒆𝒓𝒆 𝒂𝒓𝒆 𝒍𝒆𝒔𝒔𝒐𝒏𝒔 𝒕𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒄𝒂𝒏’𝒕 𝒃𝒆 𝒇𝒖𝒍𝒍𝒚 𝒕𝒂𝒖𝒈𝒉𝒕 𝒊𝒏𝒔𝒊𝒅𝒆 𝒇𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒘𝒂𝒍𝒍𝒔… and last March 20, we got to experience exactly that 💛

Our 𝐒𝐏𝐄𝐃 𝐒𝐘 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓–𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 learners spent a meaningful and joy-filled day at Gratchi’s Farm — a space where learning came alive through movement, nature, and shared experiences 🌱

From the moment they arrived, the children were immersed in hands-on activities that encouraged exploration and connection. They fed animals 🐐, practiced gentle interactions, and built confidence in trying something new. They engaged in planting activities 🌾, learning patience, responsibility, and care for living things. They moved through obstacle courses, strengthening their motor planning, coordination, and problem-solving skills. And of course, they enjoyed swimming 💦 and outdoor play — opportunities for regulation, freedom, and pure joy.

But beyond the activities, what made this day truly special were the moments in between…

Our first 𝐈𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐂𝐢𝐫𝐜𝐥𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 set the tone for what truly matters—𝒓𝒆𝒈𝒖𝒍𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 🤍

Facilitated by 𝐓. 𝐑𝐊 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐓. 𝐀𝐮𝐫𝐞𝐚, we explored the 𝕟𝕖𝕦𝕣𝕠𝕤𝕔𝕚𝕖𝕟𝕔𝕖 𝕠𝕗 𝕓𝕖𝕙𝕒𝕧𝕚𝕠𝕣 and a powerful truth:

Because of this, they don’t “choose” to dysregulate—
they rely on the 𝙧𝙚𝙜𝙪𝙡𝙖𝙩𝙚𝙙 𝙣𝙚𝙧𝙫𝙤𝙪𝙨 𝙨𝙮𝙨𝙩𝙚𝙢𝙨 𝙤𝙛 𝙖𝙙𝙪𝙡𝙩𝙨 to help them feel safe and organized.

✨ This is 𝐜𝐨-𝐫𝐞𝐠𝐮𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧.

And regulation doesn’t just mean staying calm—
it also means 𝒉𝒐𝒍𝒅𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒔𝒂𝒇𝒆, 𝒄𝒐𝒏𝒔𝒊𝒔𝒕𝒆𝒏𝒕 𝒃𝒐𝒖𝒏𝒅𝒂𝒓𝒊𝒆𝒔.

MYTH-BUSTING MONDAY

Myth: Delayed speech always indicates low intelligence.

Fact: Speech delay does not automatically reflect cognitive ability.

Speech is one form of communication — but it is not the only measure of understanding or thinking skills. Many children with delayed expressive language may still demonstrate age-appropriate comprehension, problem-solving, and learning abilities.

Accurate assessment helps determine the right support — without assumptions.

MYTH-BUSTING MONDAY

Myth: Therapy should always look structured and serious.

Fact: Play-based intervention supports motor, emotional, and cognitive development.

Play is not a break from therapy — it is a therapeutic tool. Through play, children build problem-solving skills, emotional regulation, social understanding, and motor coordination in meaningful and motivating ways.

When intervention is engaging, participation improves.
