The Pediatric Infectious Disease Society of the Philippines (PIDSP) has reported a notable increase in influenza cases nationwide. This trend underscores the need for heightened surveillance, strengthened health awareness, proper hygiene practices, and early medical consultation. Collective vigilance and evidence-based action remain our strongest defense.

In times of catastrophe and disaster, access to mental health services becomes absolutely critical. It can be challenging to those with existing mental health conditions and those with new health concerns due to the situation. Given the limited access and the number of resources, how can you be of help? There are many ways you can help, depending on your background, resources, and location.

For this year's World Mental Health Day, share with us how you can help in terms of ensuring mental health access to those in need.

Post a photo with a short description on "HOW CAN I BE OF HELP IN CASE OF DISASTERS?" and use hashtags and

You don't need to be a mental health professional to be there for others.

Let us realize what WE CAN DO altogether when help is badly needed. 🥰

9.10.25

May this day be a reminder for us that we can do so much to prevent su***de.

Let us "CHANGE THE NARRATIVE" from:

1. "Silence" to "Speaking up":

Normalize conversations to reduce shame and foster open doors for immediate help.

2. "Shameful" to "Supported":

No one should feel alone. Everyone deserves all the help they can get.

3. "Crisis only" to "Care daily":

Help doesn't come only when the danger of committing su***de is at the brink. Help should be available daily. Check in with your family and friends. Build supportive and caring environments.

4. "At risk" to "At hope":

While identifying people at risk and what makes them at risk of committing su***de is an immediate step, let us focus on what gives people reasons to live.

5. "Stigma" to "Strength":

A cry for help is a cry for hope. They are not doing it for attention. They need to be heard. Asking for help is never a weakness. It just proves you have enough courage to accept your limitations.

Whatever it is you are going through, always remember that YOU MATTER. ❤️

A successful 2025 Nutrition Month Poster-Making Contest, proudly participated in by our inspiring ALS learners!
Engaged in informal education, they’ve shown that learning knows no limits and creativity has no boundaries — a true testament that DepEd education is for all, regardless of age or background.
Thank you to all participants, coaches (ALS teachers), judges, and everyone!
