Hip pain can interfere with your daily activities and overall comfort. Understanding the common causes and knowing when to act makes a difference.

Common causes of hip pain include muscle strain from overuse or sudden movements, tendon irritation from repeated stress, arthritis or natural joint wear as you age, bursitis caused by inflammation around the hip, and pinched nerves due to pressure in the area. Symptoms to watch for include persistent pain around the hip, stiffness or difficulty moving comfortably, and pain that spreads to the thigh, groin, or leg.

Physical therapy can help by reducing pain, restoring mobility, strengthening the hip and core, improving movement patterns, and preventing flare-ups.
