Fairy Glam Mothers’ Spotlight Empowers Women with Disabilities Ahead of InspiraSHINE 2026.

GUMACA, QUEZON — In preparation for InspiraSHINE 2026, the Persons with Disability Affairs Office (PDAO) of Gumaca conducted a special collaboration with Gumaca Pioneers Pride (GPP), an organization for the LGBTQ+ community in the municipality.

Held yesterday, March 13, 2026, the initiative aimed to uplift and empower women with disabilities who would be participating in the InspiraSHINE 2026 inclusive prom scheduled later that evening. The joint project, called “Fairy Glam Mothers’ Spotlight,” brought together volunteers from the LGBTQ+ community to support and celebrate the confidence and beauty of women with disabilities.

Led by GPP President KC L. Saturay, members of the organization served as “Fairy Glam Mothers for the Day.” During the activity, they conducted a make-up demonstration and confidence-building session for the women participants, teaching them basic make-up techniques while encouraging them to embrace their unique beauty and self-confidence.

Following the training, the volunteers personally glammed up the women participants, whom the organizers fondly referred to as their “Cinderellas,” in preparation for their special appearance at InspiraSHINE 2026 later that evening.

The partnership between PDAO Gumaca and Gumaca Pioneers Pride highlighted the spirit of inclusion, solidarity, and community support, proving that when sectors come together, they can create meaningful experiences that empower and celebrate every individual.

Through initiatives like Fairy Glam Mothers’ Spotlight, PDAO Gumaca continues to champion programs that promote confidence, dignity, and inclusivity for persons with disabilities in the municipality.

Just concluded the 2nd "Pre, Padayon!", a mental wellness talks exclusively for men. A reminder that strength also means taking care of our mental health. Because men’s mental health matters too. Padayon.

Ang mga naging participants natin ay mga kakalakihang may kapansanan mula sa iba't ibang barangay. Kasama rin dito ang mula sa mga civic organizations at Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program sa ating bayan.

Layunin nitong mabigyan rin ng dagdag na suporta ang mga kalalakihan sa kanilang pangangalaga sa mental health.
