World AIDS Day 2025

As part of the PuroKalusugan Program, Brgy Lapaz TUBOG hosted a memorable World AIDS Day 2025 celebration, focusing on TB/HIV as one of the priority program area.

The festivities kicked off with a fun walk from the Municipal Plaza to Lapaz Esplanade, followed by an energetic Dance Fitness session that got everyone moving.

Dr. Ken Adriel Ledesma shared the rationale behind the activity, emphasizing the importance of collective action in the fight against HIV/AIDS. SB Doc Eva Pacificador and Brgy Kagawad S welcomed everyone, highlighting the significance of community support in promoting health and well-being.

A powerful testimony from a PLHIV (Person Living with HIV) inspired hope and resilience, reminding all that life goes on even with an HIV diagnosis. The event culminated with the glowing of glow sticks, a Pledge of Commitment led by Ms. Luna Ordenacion, and a closing message from Ms. Precious Joy Domingo.

Ayon sa DOST-PAGASA, inaasahang magla-landfall ang Typhoon Uwan sa katimugang bahagi ng Isabela o hilagang bahagi ng Aurora bukas ng gabi o Lunes ng madaling araw.

Kasalukuyan ding nasa Typhoon category ito ngunit inaasahang lalakas pa at magiging ganap na super typhoon sa mga susunod na oras.

Sa mga ganitong panahon, tumataas ang panganib ng pagkakasakit. Dahil dito, mahalagang tiyakin na may handa at kumpletong medicine kit ang bawat tahanan para agad matugunan ang mga simpleng karamdaman.

In the aftermath of Typhoon Tino, the Local government Unit of Hamtic, under the leadership of Mayor JunJun Pacificador, swiftly responded to the needs of affected communities. Through the Hamtic Primary Care Facility, led by Dra. Sheila May Pamisan-Magdaug, and in collaboration with the Department of Health’s Human Resources for Health (DOH HRH) team, headed by Mr. Mirven Remu M. Lavilla, a Rapid Health Assessment was conducted among evacuees at various barangays, including the evacuation sites in Brgy Lapaz, Brgy Poblacion 1, and Poblacion 2.

The assessment mobilized the Quad Cluster, comprising Medical, WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene), Nutrition in Emergencies (NIE), and Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) teams. These teams worked tirelessly to determine the necessary assistance required by the affected populations.

During the assessment, essential services were provided, including the distribution of hygiene kits, medical consultations, and provision of drinking water. This swift response demonstrated the local government's commitment to ensuring the health and well-being of its constituents, even in the face of adversity. The collaboration between the local government, health department, and other stakeholders was instrumental in addressing the needs of those affected by the typhoon.
