Ipinapaalam sa lahat ng pasyente at sa publiko na ang Outpatient Department (OPD) ng President Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Hospital ay pansamantalang sarado sa mga sumusunod na petsa bilang paggunita sa mga special non-working holidays:

Sa mga nasabing araw ay walang OPD consultation na isasagawa. Ang regular OPD services ay magpapatuloy sa susunod na working day.

Para naman sa mga pasyenteng nangangailangan ng agarang medikal na atensyon, maaari po kayong dumiretso sa Emergency Room (ER) ng ospital na bukas 24 oras upang mabigyan ng kaukulang serbisyong medikal.

Training Successfully Completed!

Successfully conducted ang Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Training including Basic Life Support (BLS) ng President Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Hospital in partnership with the Philippine Heart Association, na ginanap sa PRMMH Function Hall noong Marso 5-6, 2026.

Layunin ng training na mas mapalakas ang kaalaman at kakayahan ng ating healthcare workers sa cardiac emergency response, cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), airway management, at iba pang life-saving procedures sa panahon ng mga kritikal na sitwasyon.

Sa pamamagitan ng hands-on demonstrations at practical simulations, mas naging handa ang mga participants sa tamang pagresponde sa mga medical emergencies, na makakatulong upang mapanatili ang kaligtasan ng mga pasyente at mataas na kalidad ng serbisyong pangkalusugan para sa komunidad ng Zambales.

Maraming salamat sa mga trainers mula sa Philippine Heart Association at sa lahat ng participants na naging bahagi ng matagumpay na training na ito.

🏥 RABIES AWARENESS MONTH – MARCH

In support of the nationwide campaign for Rabies Awareness Month, our institution joins the call to strengthen public awareness on rabies prevention and responsible pet ownership.

Rabies remains a 100% preventable yet 100% fatal viral disease once symptoms appear. It affects both animals and humans and is commonly transmitted through the bite, scratch, or saliva of an infected animal—most frequently dogs.

With the theme:

“Rabies-free na pusa’t a*o, kaligtasan ng pamilyang Pilipino.”

We emphasize that protecting our pets means protecting our families and communities.

🩺 IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT RABIES
📌 What is Rabies?

Rabies is a viral infection that attacks the central nervous system. Once clinical signs develop, the disease is almost always fatal. Immediate medical attention after exposure is critical.

📌 How is it Transmitted?

Animal bites (especially dogs)

Scratches that break the skin

Saliva contact with open wounds, eyes, nose, or mouth

🐶 RESPONSIBLE PET OWNERSHIP

To maintain rabies-free homes and communities, the following measures are strongly encouraged:

✔️ Annual vaccination of dogs and cats against rabies

✔️ Proper registration of pets with local authorities

✔️ Avoid allowing pets to roam freely

✔️ Immediate reporting of animal bites

✔️ Observation or quarantine of biting animals as advised

Pet vaccination is not only a legal obligation but a public health responsibility.

🚨 WHAT TO DO IN CASE OF ANIMAL BITE

Immediately wash the wound thoroughly with soap and running water for at least 15 minutes.

Apply antiseptic solution (e.g., povidone-iodine or alcohol).

Seek medical consultation immediately at the nearest Animal Bite Treatment Center (ABTC).

Do not apply traditional remedies or delay medical care.

Early post-exposure prophylaxis (PEP) saves lives.
