Ano ang Mpox?

Ito ay isang sakit na dulot ng Mpox virus na may mga sintomas na kahalintulad sa smallpox. Kadalasan ay hindi ito nakakamatay ngunit nakakahawa.

Ang mga sumusunod ay mga karaniwang sintomas ng sakit na ito:
• Lagnat
• Pagsakit ng ulo
• Pananakit ng katawan
• Kulani
• Chills o Panginginig
• Matinding pagkapagod

Pertussis, commonly known as whooping cough, spreads easily through respiratory droplets from infected individuals. While it can affect people of all ages, babies, young children, and pregnant women are particularly susceptible to severe symptoms.

Vaccination remains the most effective way to prevent pertussis. The pertussis vaccine is included in the DOH Expanded Program on Immunization (EPI) and it is freely provided for young children at local health care units. Additionally, vaccines against pertussis are also available for older children and adults.
