Hello, IITian. Kamusta ka?
We hope that you are safe and well.
In these times of uncertainty, we often catch ourselves in overwhelming fear or confusion, even as we watch the news in our feeds.
Please remember that you are not alone in these times.
Here are some self-care tips you can do to help you to get by.
1. Be patient with yourself as you try to adjust.
Your mind and your body experienced a disruption in schedule, in working space, in physical movement. So, try not to be too hard on yourself. Give yourself the needed time to re-establish routines.
2. LISTEN to what your BODY is telling you.
Our body usually sends off signals to warn us of a disequilibrium. You notice these in the form of strained muscles in your eyes, a headache or a heavy feeling that drags you back to bed. Take the much needed rest that your body needs. Hydrate, eat a well-balanced diet, limit screen time, and get enough quality and quantity of sleep. It is also wise to consult a doctor and avoid searching up symptoms in the internet to self-medicate or self-diagnose. We have the doctors to do that.
3. REACH OUT for SUPPORT
The world around you may be too noisy and busy, and it's normal for you to crave for some peace and silence. But while you do, remember that there are people who care and worry about you. So, try not to isolate yourself especially in these times. It helps to talk about thoughts that may be bothering you or feelings that weigh you down. Talk to someone you trust.
