Adventist Hospitals United for Healing.

In the spirit of compassionate service, Adventist hospitals came together as one for a meaningful mission, United for Healing in response to the needs of Bagyong Basyang victims. Through a powerful collaboration of Adventist Medical Center–Iligan, Adventist Medical Center–Valencia, and Adventist Hospital Gingoog, hope was brought to communities deeply affected by the storm.

With hearts committed to serve, our medical teams provided free checkups and medicines to more than 500 adult and pediatric patients, ensuring that both physical and immediate health concerns were addressed. Beyond medical care, we recognized the silent struggles of the youngest survivors. Through our Psychosocial Support Program, 180 children received emotional care, encouragement, and activities designed to help them process trauma and rediscover joy.

This united effort reflects more than healthcare — it is collaborative compassion in action. When healing hands and praying hearts work together, restoration becomes possible.

As written in Scripture:
“Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.” – Galatians 6:2

Together, we continue to be God’s instruments of healing, restoring health, renewing hope, and rebuilding lives.

AMCI Extends Hope and Healing to Brgy. Tambacan After Bagyong Basyang

In response to the devastation brought by Bagyong Basyang last February 5, 2026, Adventist Medical Center–Iligan (AMCI) reached out in compassion and service to 102 affected families in Brgy. Tambacan under the leadership and guidance of Dr. Jonathan Casio.

This meaningful humanitarian effort was led by Dr. Jeannie Generato, Dr. Edsel Cabaluna, Ma’am Nanette Pilar, and Pastor Kenneth Bayola, with the support of Sir Todd Reuben Generato and Architect Rigel Mar, together with the dedicated AMCI workers who selflessly served on the ground.

As part of the outreach, families were provided with essential relief goods including 5 kilos of rice, and a feeding program was conducted where arroz caldo, bread, and water were served to bring warmth, nourishment, and comfort to the community. In addition, 30 individuals received tetanus toxoid vaccinations, promoting health, safety, and disease prevention.

More than relief, this outreach was a reflection of God’s love in action, bringing hope, healing, and reassurance to those in need.

“Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.” Galatians 6:2

Together, we serve. Together, we care. Together, we extend Christ’s love.

1st Bayanihan for 2026: United in Service and Purpose

The 1st Bayanihan for 2026 was successfully conducted on January 18, 2026, with the active participation of almost a hundred AMCI workers. The activity once again reflected the strong spirit of unity, cooperation, and shared responsibility among hospital employees.

Bayanihan remains a regular and meaningful activity of the hospital, where workers from different departments come together to work unitedly toward a common goal—the improvement of the hospital environment and the strengthening of teamwork. Through collective effort, tasks that would be difficult individually were accomplished efficiently and joyfully, fostering camaraderie and a sense of ownership among the participants.

More than physical labor, the Bayanihan embodies the hospital’s commitment to service, humility, and selflessness, values deeply rooted in Christian principles. As workers labored side by side, the activity became a living testimony of faith expressed through action.

As the Bible reminds us:
“For we are God’s fellow workers; you are God’s field, you are God’s building.”
— 1 Corinthians 3:9

Indeed, the 1st Bayanihan for 2026 served as a strong and inspiring start to the year, reinforcing that when God’s people work together in unity, their efforts become a blessing not only to the institution but also to the community it serves. All glory and thanks be to God for the strength, harmony, and willing hearts of His workers.

Day 9 – See and Care for the Forgotten
AMCI 10 Days of Prayer.

Day 9 calls us to open our eyes and hearts to those who are often unseen and unheard. Jesus consistently noticed the forgotten—the poor, the sick, the lonely, and the marginalized—and He responded with compassion and action.

As the AMCI family of faith, we are reminded that caring for the forgotten is a reflection of Christ’s love in us. When we choose to see others through Jesus’ eyes and serve them with kindness and dignity, we become living witnesses of God’s mercy, bringing hope, healing, and light to those who need it most.

Nursing Cluster Care Group Shares Gifts to Adopted Family

The spirit of compassion and service continued as the Nursing Cluster Care Group, through its 12-Care Group, carried on the “Give a Heart” Program by sharing blessings with their adopted family in Purok 2-A, Hinaplanon, Iligan City, on January 14, 2026.
As an expression of love and solidarity, the care group distributed five (5) kilos of rice and assorted grocery items to the indigent family, bringing not only material support but also encouragement and hope. This meaningful gesture is part of the care group’s sustained commitment to walk alongside the family they have adopted, ensuring that care extends beyond hospital walls and into the community.

It is worth remembering that this Care Group has painstakingly and consistently visited the community, offering health lectures, feeding programs for children, and mentorship, nurturing both physical well-being and spiritual growth. Their continued presence reflects a genuine concern for holistic care—ministering to body, mind, and spirit.

Inspired by God’s Word, the Nursing Cluster Care Group lives out the biblical mandate: “Let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth” (1 John 3:18).

Indeed, their acts of kindness mirror the compassion of Christ, who taught that “whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me” (Matthew 25:40)

Day 8 – Love Our Family of Faith as Jesus Does
AMCI 10 Days of Prayer 🤍

On Day 8, we are reminded that the church is more than an organization—it is a family bound together by Christ’s love. Jesus loves His family with patience, compassion, forgiveness, and self-sacrifice, and He calls us to love one another in the same way.

As members of the AMCI family of faith, we are invited to reflect Christ by caring for one another, bearing each other’s burdens, and choosing unity over division. When we love as Jesus loves, our relationships become a powerful testimony of God’s grace, and our community becomes a safe place where faith grows and hope is strengthened.

Day 7 – Disciple Children and All Generations to Speak for Jesus

Discipleship is not limited by age—it is a calling for every generation. On Day 7, we are reminded that children, youth, adults, and elders all have a voice and a mission to speak for Jesus. When we intentionally nurture faith in the young and empower every generation to share Christ through words and actions, the gospel becomes a living legacy. As a church and as AMCI, we are called to model Christlike love, teach truth with compassion, and create an environment where every generation boldly testifies of Jesus in their own unique way.

Day 6 Insight – “Boldly Stand for Christ and Follow Him Fully”

Day 6 calls us to a courageous faith—one that does not waver in the face of challenges. To boldly stand for Christ means choosing Him openly in our words, actions, and decisions, even when it is uncomfortable or costly. Our faith becomes a living testimony when we stand firm in truth, love, and integrity.

Following Christ fully goes beyond belief; it is a daily commitment to walk in His footsteps. It means surrendering our will, trusting His leading, and obeying His calling wholeheartedly. As we pray together at AMCI, may God give us bold hearts and unwavering faith, so that our lives clearly reflect Christ and draw others closer to Him through our faithful service.
