Ilog Main Primary Care Facility joins the nation in celebrating the Philippine Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) Awareness Week, November 18–24, 2025, with the theme:

“Sama-samang magtulungan upang AMR ay mapigilan: AMR bigyang pansin, One Health Approach pagtibayin.”

Antimicrobial Resistance is a growing health concern that affects everyone. When medicines like antibiotics, antivirals, and antifungals stop working due to misuse or overuse putting lives, families, and communities at risk.

At Ilog Main Primary Care Facility, we continue to:

✔️ Provide education and counselling to the public on the proper use of antibiotics.
✔️ Promote responsible healthcare practices.
✔️ Support the One Health Approach—recognizing the connection between human, animal, and environmental health.

We joyfully announce the official transition of the Ilog Rural Health and Birthing Facility into the Ilog Main Primary Care Facility (PCF) starting October 14, 2025. milestone that reflects the power of collaboration, dedication, and shared vision for community wellness.

This achievement was made possible through the steadfast leadership of Mayor John Paul K. Alvarez, whose commitment to strengthening local health systems continues to uplift the people of Ilog. We extend our deepest appreciation to the Ilog Main PCF team, whose tireless efforts and attention to detail ensured full compliance with all PCF accreditation requirements.

We also recognize the valuable support of the Negros Occidental Provincial Health Office, whose technical guidance and encouragement helped pave the way for this transformation. Special thanks to DMO Justine Cabral, whose hands-on support and coordination were instrumental throughout the process.

A heartfelt acknowledgment goes to the evaluator from the Regional Local Health Systems Development (RLED) Unit of DOH Western Visayas (NIR), whose expertise and thorough assessment affirmed the readiness and capability of our facility to serve as a Primary Care Provider.

❗️1 SA 5 NA NAMAMATAY NA PLHIV AY DAHIL SA TB❗️

Mas mataas ang posibilidad na magka-TB ang isang PLHIV dahil sa mahinang immune system. Kapag hindi naagapan, maaaring magdulot ito ng malubhang komplikasyon na posibleng humantong sa kamatayan.

Ang HIV at TB co-infection ay maiiwasan sa pamamagitan ng regular na TB screening, tuloy-tuloy na pag-inom ng antiretroviral therapy (ART), at paggamit ng Tuberculosis Preventive Treatment (TPT).
